Chapter 4
The moment my words foll, before they could even react, testing officials rusfred over, shouting
“The mixed relay team’s urine test results show positive for performance enhancing drugs. You need to come with us
The reporters and fans on the scene instantly erupted.
Ryan looked up in disbelief. “What?”
The testing officials escorted them backstage. Ryan and the other team members broke out in cold sweats–they had put tremendous effort into this competition.
However, the officials announced sternly:
“Ryan, your urine test results are positive.”
“Your results are disqualified, and according to regulations, you will face a lifetime ban from competition.”
Ryan’s legs wouldn’t stop trembling. The team members looked over, their expressions instantly turning to despair.
“Impossible. This is impossible.”
Ryan’s first instinct was to rush out and find me, but I was already leisurely packing up my belongings.
Just as he reached the exit, he was surrounded by reporters.
“Could we get an interview? Did you really take performance–enhancing drugs before the race?”
“Were you not confident enough, so you relied on drugs? Why did you choose to do this?”
“You just publicly accused Coach Emma, but do you have the nerve to negotiate with her now?”
Ryan was trapped by the crowd, only able to watch helplessly as I left the venue with my bag.
The team members dragged him back backstage, staring at him intently.
“Ryan! You’ve ruined our entire team! Why did you take performance–enhancing drugs?”
Ryan hung his head in frustration. All his efforts had been wasted–what the hell had happened?
He suddenly looked up, meeting his teammates‘ eyes for a moment, then suddenly remembered last night’s incident with Isla.
He hurriedly pulled Isla out from where she was hiding in the corner, asking with a hint of hope:
“Isla, you clearly said last night that you had consulted a doctor, that those cold medicines were safe, right? Today’s test results must be wrong, right? I’ll have them retest everything.”
Isla shook her head one moment, nodded the next. The three tall athletes surrounded her, spinning in circles with anxiety.
“Isla, say something!”
Isla didn’t dare meet their eyes. Suddenly, she said firmly:
“Emma must be framing us!”
“She must be trying to drive a wedge between us. She has strong connections–this must all be her doing behind the scenes.”
Her words made the three team members waver momentarily. Ryan believed her completely.
“No wonder she left so decisively!”

Isla even squeezed out a few tears, appearing fragile and innocent. Coach Emma is doing this because the ‘s lealon seque Ryan. In that case, I should leave.”
As Isla moved to go, the team members and Ryan quickly grabbed her. Ryan said gently
“Don’t worry, I’ll definitely find her and get to the bottom of this?”
The team members chimed in, painting me as their enemy:
“Emma, that backstabbing traitor! She knew exactly what this competition meant to us–why would she do something like this?”
“We need to find her! If she’s still here, we can’t let her get away with this! She has to pay for what she’s done!”
They angrily discussed me, completely forgetting who had brought them to this position, given them opportunities, and guided them toward international competition.
When I returned from overseas, I had refused high–paying offers, insisting on training them personally and giving them the chance to showcase thei potential.
Yet now, ten years of my youth and dedication had been wasted on these bastards!
Ryan tried to message me, but it showed he’d been blocked.
His expression immediately turned extremely ugly–I had blocked all contact with him and the other three team members.
This time around, I abandoned excessive kindness and decided to respect their individual choices and fates.
The team members started to panic:
“Coach Emma is really ruthless this time! We can’t let her get away with this!”
Liam’s voice trembled:
“What do we do? If my parents find out I’m banned by the International Swimming Federation, they’ll be furious.”
