Chapter 8: Alpha King’s Rage Shatters Kevin’s Face
Dominic
I was seething with anger as I stood in Alpha Trevor’s office. The way he had greeted the Alpha King me was disrespectful enough, but now this whol situation stank of deception. During our so–called “tour, Id barely seen any pack members going about their daily activities. What the hell was this Blo Moon Pack hiding?
Whatever it was, I needed to find out! Especially since it involved my mate.
Ethan and I kept scanning our surroundings, looking for clues, anything out of place. I was struggling to keep Luca contained, my jaw clenched so tight it hurt. The growing rumble in my chest was becoming harder to suppress, and my lips had started to curl back, revealing my teeth in an instinctive snart.
Trevor, the sly fox, noticed. His fake smile never faltered as he approached me. ‘Is something wrong, my Alpha King? Are you feeling unwell? The concern in his voice was as genuine as a three–dollar bill.
On the surface, he was showing concern, but I knew better. He was fishing, trying to figure out if I’d discovered something. This bastard was testing me.
I’d had enough of this charade. My face darkened as I stared him down, my voice dropping to a dangerous, icy tone. “Where is the girl you’re keeping locked up?”
I felt Luca raging inside me, desperate to take control. My mate’s cries for help had awakened something primal in him–in us. But I couldn’t let him take over. Not here, not in unfamiliar territory.
Trevor’s expression flickered–surprise, then quick recovery to practiced neutrality. “I’m afraid I don’t know what you’re talking about, Alpha King. What girl?”
He played dumb, but I caught the nervous glance he exchanged with Kevin. That split–second look told me everything I needed to know.
I stepped closer, my body vibrating with barely contained fury. “I’ll ask you one more time,” I growled, each word deliberate and threatening. “Where. Is. The. Girl? Don’t make me force it out of you. You won’t like the consequences.”
Trevor’s face twitched unnaturally as he tried to maintain his composure. But Kevin was already cracking–sweat beading on his forehead, lips turning white, the stench of fear rolling off him in waves.
“Alpha King, Trevor started, his voice carefully measured, “I believe there’s been a misunderstanding. Perhaps we could discuss our alliance instead? I have some very interesting proposals that could benefit both our packs-
Something in me snapped.
Before I could stop myself, my right hand transformed–bones cracking, skin stretching, claws extending where human fingernails had been seconds before. With a roar of pure rage, I backhanded Kevin across the face with such force that he flew across the room.
The sound was sickening–a wet thud followed by Kevin’s high–pitched scream as he crashed to the floor.
I felt my eyes change, the darkness giving way to crimson. I knew what I looked like now–no longer the carefully controlled Alpha King but something more primal, more dangerous. The monster I kept hidden.
Kevin writhed on the ground, his screams piercing the air. The left side of his face was in ruins–skin torn away completely, exposing the stark white of his cheekbone beneath. Blood poured from the wound, pooling beneath his head on the hardwood floor.
Trevor’s face had gone ashen. “Stop! I’ll take you to her! Just don’t hurt my Beta anymore!”
Kevin’s screams had turned to whimpers. Despite being a werewolf with healing abilities, this injury was catastrophic. Even after healing, his face wou forever bear the scars of my rage. He should consider himself lucky I hadn’t taken his ear off completely.
“Dominic!” Ethan’s commanding bark cut through my haze of fury. “Control yourself!
For a moment, Luca had taken over–just a moment–but it was enough to cause this damage. I closed my eyes, focusing on my breathing, forcing the wolf
back down.

Chapter 8: Alpha King’s Rage Shatters Kevin’s Face
I felt the bones in my hand shifting, muscle and skin returning to human form. The transformation was painful, but I welcomed the pain 11 kriped- helped me regain control.
Trevor rushed to Kevin’s side, helping him to a sitting position. Kevin’s face was a mask of agony–eyes wide with shock and pain, mouth open in a sile
scream now.
Though clearly suffering, he was trying to stifle his cries, making hissing sounds through clenched teeth instead. He was terrified of angering me further af jeopardizing whatever deal his Alpha might make with me.
I doubted the Blood Moon Pack had a healer. From what I’d seen of their primitive lifestyle, they probably relied on their natural healing abilities alone
But just to be sure–after all, they’d managed to create that magical entrance–I glanced at Ethan, who immediately understood.
“Do you have a healer in your pack?” Ethan asked Trevor.
Trevor shook his head wordlessly, his face expressionless but eyes filled with hatred.
Ethan motioned for Trevor to hand Kevin over. After a moment’s hesitation, Trevor complied. Ethan helped Kevin to the couch and began examining the wound. From his belt, he pulled out a small container of salve that my sister Rachel, Tempest Howlers‘ healer, had prepared for emergencies.
It was truly a mess. The flesh was mangled beyond recognition, chunks of skin completely missing. Blood continued to seep from the wound despite Kevin’s werewolf healing trying to kick in.
I could see the hatred in Kevin’s eyes as he looked at me, though he didn’t dare voice it. Smart move.
Luca was growing impatient. He needed to see our mate, to make sure she was safe. Who knew what kind of torture she was enduring in whatever dungeon they were keeping her in?
Her cries for help still echoed in my mind.
Lcouldn’t wait for Ethan to finish treating Kevin. “Take me to the girl. Now, I demanded of Trevor, my voice leaving no room for argument.
