Chapter 11: A Weird, Weak, Smelly Wolf–less Female
Avery
The Alpha King Dominic. I’d only heard whispers about him while working–hushed rumors passed between slaves when the supervisors weren’t listening.
From what I’d gathered, he was ruthless. A wolf that made others tremble at the mere mention of his name. He commanded the largest pack in existence, and I’d lost count of how many times I’d overheard the female slaves fantasizing about his body and… other parts.
It was bizarre to me. Was this like some celebrity obsession? Where did they even get this information? Had they actually seen him before?
I never understood their exaggerated fantasies and lurid daydreams. How could they possibly know such intimate details about someone they’d never met?
But now, the legendary Alpha King Dominic stood before me, holding me in his arms like 1 weighed nothing. His chest was broad and solid against my side, radiating heat through my thin, tattered clothes.
His muscles flexed with each breath, with each slight movement. I could see why those women had let their imaginations run wild.
Would I have to do those things with him? The things I’d seen Kevin and Eva doing in the forest?
The thought of being naked, straddling him, having his hands on my body… it made my stomach turn. Not because he was unattractive–quite the opposite –but because the idea of anyone touching me made my skin crawl.
And my scars… what would he think when he saw them? The network of raised welts and old wounds that covered most of my body would surely disgust
him.
Maybe that would be a blessing. Maybe he’d be so repulsed he’d throw me back to Trevor.
No. Even Trevor would be better than that.
Alpha Dominic’s voice thundered through the room, vibrating against my ribs where I was pressed against his chest. “I don’t give a fuck about hearing any of your bullshit! I only believe what I see with my own eyes!”
His grip tightened around me as his anger flared, fingers digging painfully into my side. I couldn’t help the hiss of pain that escaped my lips. Immediately, his hold loosened, though he didn’t set me down.
His eyes flickered to mine for just a second–a flash of something that might have been concern–before returning to glare at my brother.
I stared emptily at the entrance to the dungeon visible behind Trevor’s desk. So the dungeon can be accessed through Trevor’s office too?
I’d never known that. It was different from the entrance they usually used to throw me in. My mind wandered, still struggling to process everything happening around me. It was all too sudden, too strange.
This scene felt like something from a dream–a salvation deity swooping in to rescue me from hell. I never imagined the mighty Trevor and Kevin could be put in their place like this, watching them squirm under someone else’s power.
And Mr. Alpha King… didn’t he plan on putting me down anytime soon? He’d been holding me this entire time. Didn’t his arms get tired?
His chest rumbled against me as he spoke again. “I have a proposition for you, Alpha Trevor.” His lips curled into a cold smile.
‘If you accept, we can work together. If you refuse.” His crimson eyes swept across everyone in the room, a clear warning that opposition would not be tolerated. “Then we become enemies.”
Trevor’s jaw clenched so tight I could hear his teeth grinding. “I assume your proposition involves her?” he snarled, gesturing toward me with a jerk of his chin.
*Correct.” Alpha Dominic’s smile widened, revealing teeth that seemed just a bit too sharp for his human form. “Perhaps you’re not as stupid as you look. I’m taking her back to my pack, and if you disagree…”
He paused, letting the threat hang in the air. “Every member of your pathetic excuse for a pack will die.”

Chapter 11: A Weird, Weak, Smelly Wolf–less Female
Me? My thoughts raced in confusion. Why would he want me? Why would someone like him want a mate like me?
A weird, weak, smelly wolf–less female covered in scars and barely able to look anyone in the eye? It made no sense.
I glanced up at him, studying his profile while he was distracted with Trevor. His jaw was sharp and defined, his nose straight, his eyes—currently burning with anger–somehow both terrifying and mesmerizing. Everything about him screamed power and dominance.
And yet, here he was, declaring he wanted me. Me, of all people. The girl who spent most nights chained to a wall in the dungeon. The girl whose own brother had made her a slave…
None of this made any sense..
Kevin stepped forward, his hands balled into fists. “You can’t just-
“Silence!” Alpha Dominic roared, the sound so powerful it seemed to shake the room. “The next person to speak without permission loses their tongue.
Kevin fell back, his face pale. Even Trevor, who never backed down from anyone, seemed to shrink in his chair.
“Now,” Alpha Dominic continued, his voice deceptively calm. “Do we have an agreement, Alpha Trevor? Or should I begin the slaughter with your Beta
The office around us seemed to close in, the air thick with tension as Trevor stood before us, his face a mask of calculated concern.
I was nothing–not strong, not beautiful, just broken and scarred. What possible use could I serve to an Alpha King? Men like him didn’t rescue women like me without wanting something in return.
My heart raced as my thoughts spiraled. Was I simply trading one prison for another? One master for another? The devil I knew for one I didn’t? At least with Trevor, I understood the rules, knew exactly what would trigger punishment. But with Dominic? I had no idea what awaited me beyond the walls of the only prison I’d ever known.
