Chapter 13: Your The Tenth Bride Was Extremely Charming!
Arety
One voice–Eva–rose above the rest with particular venom.
Look at that ugly face! That whore! I knew she’d seduce our Alpha King! Her words dripped with hatred, her doll like features twisted into something grotesque despite her pretty exterior.
Trevor’s face radiated smug satisfaction.
He was clearly enjoying my humiliation, watching me being paraded through our pack like a trophy his rival had claimed.
But when Dominic suddenly changed direction, heading toward what seemed to be the wrong path, Trevor’s expression transformed instantly
“My Alpha King, Trevor scurried forward like an obsequious servant, his previous confidence evaporating. “You’re going the wrong way. The exit isn’t that
way.
Dominic paused, confusion briefly crossing his features. “What do you mean? Don’t we leave the same way we came in?”
“Please, let me guide you,” Trevor gestured toward the opposite direction, his voice taking on an oily quality that made my skin crawl.
As we changed course, the poisonous whispers continued to follow us like a toxic cloud.
I could feel Dominic’s muscles tensing beneath me. Without warning, he stopped abruptly and turned to face the gathered pack members.
“ENOUGH!” His Alpha voice thundered across the courtyard, instantly silencing every whisper. The power in his command made even me flinch in his arms.
“From this moment forward, I will not tolerate any disrespect toward my mate, your future Luna Queen! If I hear anyone call her a whore, slut, bitch, or any similar degrading term again, you can start planning your funeral!”
The silence that followed was absolute. For a moment, it seemed as if everyone had collectively stopped breathing.
Then, slowly, whispers began again, but quieter this time: “Luna? What the hell… how did that slut–The voice cut off abruptly as Dominic’s crimson gaze swept the crowd.
I caught sight of a group of female servants staring at me with naked jealousy in their eyes. Of course they envied me–I was being carried by the man they probably fantasized about during their masturbating moments.
The powerful Alpha King who could snap a neck with one hand while looking devastatingly handsome.
But I would trade places with any of them in a heartbeat. I didn’t want to be the center of attention.
I didn’t want to be important. Even though I appreciated Alpha King Dominic’s protection, who knew what awaited me in his territory? Would he, like Trevor, eventually lock me in a basement and whip me to satisfy some twisted possessive urge?
As we approached what Trevor claimed was the exit, a figure emerged from the shadows. Kevin appeared, holding an elegant leather bag that looked completely out of place in Blood Moon’s rustic surroundings.
With exaggerated deference, he handed the bag to Trevor.
‘Her things are all packed,” Trevor said, passing the bag to Ethan.
I stared at the bag in confusion. My things? I owned nothing except the tattered clothes on my back. This bag looked expensive, well–crafted–utterly unlike anything I’d ever been allowed to possess.
As we neared the exit, I felt a strange mixture of dread and anticipation. I had never stepped beyond Blood Moon’s boundaries.
The world outside was as mysterious to me as freedom itself. I stared at the exit–an unremarkable path leading into a small grove of trees. How had I never noticed this was an exit? Come to think of it, I couldn’t recall ever seeing anyone use this path to leave…

Dominic carried me into the quiet path without looking back. Bizarrely, the moment Dominic stepped onto the path, w ceiling materialized above our hear It was as if we had entered some strange dimensional space.
The tunnel was narrow, only wide enough for one person. Dominic carried me at the front, with his Beta following closely behind.
For a brief moment, I wondered if this was what death felt like
Suddenly, blinding light appeared at the end of the tunnel, and we emerged into a clearing surrounded by dense foliage.
That’s strange, the Beta murmured, looking back at the exit we’d just passed through. “The entrance and exit inside are in different directions, but they lead to the same place out here.”
I blinked in confusion, realizing we were standing in the exact spot where they had entered. The same bushes, the same trees, the same pattern of sunlight filtering through the leaves.
“Another Blood Moon mystery,” Dominic replied, his voice tense and suspicious. “Add it to the investigation list.”
Ethan held up the bag Kevin had given us, examining it with obvious skepticism. “And I seriously doubt they’ve been dressing Luna in designer clothes all this time. We already know how they treated Luna… hypocritical bastards.”
Luna. The word sounded alien, unbelievable. They were talking about me, but the title felt completely disconnected from who I was–as if they were discussing someone else entirely, someone worthy of respect and beautiful things.
I glanced at the bag, certain its contents couldn’t possibly belong to me. Trevor and Keyin were putting on a show, pretending they had treated me well.
Their shameless lies made me nauseous. Surely no one would believe such obvious bullshit.
“Julian should be here to pick us up,” Beta looked around the clearing. “Where’s the car?”
“He probably got bored and went for a joyride,” Dominic answered, slightly adjusting his grip on me. “If he left us stranded here waiting for him, I swear I’ll demote him to Omega.”
Beta laughed. “No, you won’t!”
They continued forward, still discussing this Julian person and his apparent unreliability. After walking a short distance, a sleek black SUV came into view, parked at the edge of the treeline.
‘Finally,” Beta muttered, walking toward the vehicle.
What secrets was Blood Moon hiding? Why had Trevor gone to such lengths to keep me there? Most puzzling of all, why would an Alpha King declare someone like me his future Luna?
Beta opened the rear door for us, and just as Dominic was placing me on the back seat, I heard a playful, magnetic voice from the driver’s seat:
“Well, well! Our Alpha King’s tenth bride certainly has charm!”
Tenth bride? I frowned slightly. Was he mocking Dominic? Did Dominic really have ten brides?
I glanced up at Dominic’s face and saw his jaw tighten, Whoever this Julian was, he seemed to know exactly how to push Dominic’s buttons—and apparently enjoyed doing so.
