Soon, the flight attendant cleared the breakfast and brought toffee.
Garrett Wylder only rested for about ten minutes before starting video conferences.
For the next five hours, he was either in meetings, on phone calls, or reviewing documents.
Clay had to constantly refresh his email, reporting anything that needed Garrett Wylder’s personal decision, followed by another round of Ealis ant meetings… His level of busyness was no less than being in the headquarters office.
When Clay was free, I quietly called him to the back and had him explain the work arrangements for this business trip in detail.
I needed to quickly adapt to Garrett Wylder’s work pace

Clay showed me the arrangements for the next few days.
The destination was Singapore.
The main purpose was to inspect the branch office, while also visiting local government officials and important business partners.
“This is the first stop. Over the next six months, we’ll gradually

global branches.”
Clay said in a lowered voice.

I nodded seriously.
I asked another question, “Is there any special significance to Singapore being the first stop?”
This was pure curiosity.
Clay paused: “Uh… nothing special. Just… it’s relatively close.”
Me:
What kind of cold joke was that?
A man who owns a Gulfstream G650–except for flying to the moon, where can’t he go!
Clay then divided up the work for the next few days, quietly complaining to me: “Previously at the American branch, I could handle everything alone. Now back at headquarters, I’m so busy I wish I could split myself in half.”
“Now that you’re here, I can finally breathe.”
I smiled gently, the dimples at the corners of my mouth barely visible.
Clay stood not far away, and the moment our eyes met, he seemed frozen in place.
“Elara,” he said in a low voice, “you’re really… too enchanting.”
I tousled my hair and lazily threw him a flirtatious glance: “I know.”
Just as the atmosphere was becoming ambiguous, a voice suddenly cut in from behind, unhurried and with a hint of sarcastic leisure:
“Clay, why don’t you ask IA for some popcorn?”
It was Garrett Wylder. He was leaning against the private jet’s cabin wall, holding documents in one hand and crossing the other arm, his gaze like he was reviewing a low–budget romantic drama.
IA was the dedicated flight attendant on his private jet.
Clay turned around, looking confused: “…Popcorn? Do you want to

Garrett closed his documents and leaned back slightly, his eyelashes lowered, his tone casual: “With this atmosphere you two have going, all that’s missing is some popcorn.”
Clay: “.

At 2 PM, the plane landed at Changi Airport./
As soon as we got off the plane, a wave of heat hit us, like jumping directly from spring into midsummer.
Only then did I remember my entire suitcase of sweaters and down jackets… God knows I originally thought I was going to the Arctic Circle, but ended up flying near the equator instead!

The pickup car was already waiting below.
Clay got in the passenger seat, and I sat in the back with Garrett Wylder as usual,
We went directly to the Raffles Hotel where we were staying.
After checking in, Clay and I accompanied Garrett Wylder to his suite.
“What’s the arrangement for tonight?”
Garrett Wylder sat on the sofa, his gaze casually falling on me.
