Xavier.
It didn’t matter that Xavier and I had found common ground.

“I’m with you. We don’t need any of them. If we stay united,

“I’m fine without any title, really. I enjoy the quiet. But Grace,

off being equals, leaders in our own right,” he said, always
putting his mate’s feelings first. I respected that.
“Do you think there’s any chance we could ever have a
relationship?” Xavier asked, his voice softer than I expected.
“It stings that you didn’t want to meet me before, but you’re my
brother now. And we’ll make it work, one way or another.” I
grinned.

The moment our car pulled up in front of the castle, I could
sense it in the air, like a warm embrace. I still don’t fully
understand how Asher managed to bring all this together

I’d met him before, of course, but today, there was something
different about him. He seemed lighter, and it was good to see

“I owe you an apology for our last encounter, Queen Violet,” he
slightly bowed, sounding genuinely regretful.
“No need to apologize,” I replied, offering him a small smile. “I’m
just glad you found your way back.” After all, everybody

arms. And as I looked at them, I realized sometimes it’s better to
give people space to grow and prove themselves. Mia, with her

It wasn’t just the fact that I’d missed her; there was something
deeper–an unmistakable pulse of life.
“I’m going to be an aunt!” I squealed, hugging her tightly. I could

couldn’t be more thankful for these blessings.
“I still can’t believe it,” she said, touching her belly. The joy in

everything they could ever need. He was serious, and I knew he would. My brother and I might have had our disagreements, but when it comes to family, there’s nothing he wouldn’t do.
“Alright, everyone, gather around,” Asher called, catching
everyone’s attention.
“This year has been the toughest one of my life, but it’s also the
year that’s brought me the greatest happiness. We’ve been
through hell–many of us–but here we are, standing strong. We’ve lost so much this year, and that’s why I want to raise a
glass to those we’ve lost, and to those we’re about to gain.”
He raised his glass, and we all followed suit.
“After everything we’ve survived, I honestly feel like there’s
nothing that can break me. We’ve faced grief, joy, pain,
betrayal… so much. But we’ve come out the other side even
stronger. The biggest lesson I’ve learned? No mistake defines
who you are. You’re allowed to make mistakes, but you’ve got
to make things right before it’s too late. Because sometimes,
those mistakes can lead to the best things that ever happen to
you.”
