Hazel’s POV:
The Omega maid’s mouth gaped wide enough to fit an egg.
When she came up just now, there was clearly only Miss Caroline alone in the bathroom…
And right now, I was practically sprawled all over Vincent..
As soon as I looked up, I met two pairs of eyes at the doorway that were clearly enjoying the drama.
Vincent’s brow furrowed tightly–he must have hit hard–but the next second, when he saw Xander Wentworth and the maid’s shocked expressions, he immediately tried to explain:
“It’s not what it looks like, Grandpa… Don’t misunderstand…”

“About your condition, I collected some samples when you had your last episode and did some research.”
I paused.
Both Xander and Vincent looked at me seriously, waiting for me to continue.

Your illness…“I looked at Xander, lips curving slightly, “I can cure it.”
I saw Vincent’s expression change, his eyes immediately lighting up.
Xander Wentworth also sat up straight with excitement: “Really? You can really cure it?”
I nodded.
“However, the treatment process might be somewhat uncomfortable, requiring your endurance. And you must strictly follow medical orders–if you violate them, I’ll immediately terminate treatment. This illness can’t be cured in a day or two; it needs a period of treatment. So during treatment, you must stay in Moon Shadow City.”
Xander said excitedly: “Don’t worry, I’m retired anyway, so I can stay put peacefully.”
I hummed softly in acknowledgment, hesitated briefly, then asked:
“This illness–you’re not the only one who has it, right?”
The two exchanged glances.
Xander nodded and sighed: “I’m fortunate… at least, I’m still alive.”
I smiled faintly, but my heart already understood.
“What about the unfortunate ones?”
“They died horribly.” Xander’s eyes darkened, his tone low: “I’ve seen it with my own eyes.”
“If it’s a communicable disease, that means it’s related to the environment.” I said softly, “But that’s not the most important thing right now. For now, let’s cure your illness first.”
As for more details… I didn’t want to know for the time being.
Vincent looked at me quietly, something unreadable flickering in his eyes.
Xander also examined me with a complex gaze.
I ignored them, taking tools from my portable case and laying them out on the table one by one.
“Draw the curtains. The treatment process cannot be exposed to light.”
The Omega maid immediately complied, and soon the entire hall was blocked by heavy curtains, plunging into darkness.
Though I couldn’t see light, I could feel Vincent’s gaze constantly on me.
He was staring at me.
His gaze was like an invisible net, tightly entangling me, capturing every one of my movements clearly, not missing even the slightest change in my expression/
When I left the Wentworth family estate, the sky had already darkened.
foriginally Intended to drive back myself, but Vincent forcibly dragged me into his car.
Then this guy actually made a phone call and called a tow truck to have my car, still parked outside, towed away.

What’s wrong with him?
In less than a few minutes, I watched helplessly as my car was forcibly taken away.
If I hadn’t been completely drained of energy right now, I might have already rushed over to stab him with a few needles.
Vincent, however, looked brilliant, smiling like a sunflower in autumn.
“Let’s go, rll drive you home.”
