Chapter 6
CRASH!
Garrett furiously swept the teacups off the table, shattering them across the floor.
“What did you say? Rylee’s mother is dead?”
The security guard handed him a death certificate, “Yes, sir. Mrs. Montgomery mother passed away a month ago. Mrs. Montgomery handled the funeral herself
Garrett stared at the death certificate in disbelief, checking it repeatedly. “How is that possible? Why didn’t I know anything? Why didn’t kylee tell me?”
The guard glanced at Garrett hesitantly before speaking: “Mrs. Winters passed away the day you were celebrating the Davis sisters‘ birthday.”
“When Miss Daphne got burned by a sparkler, you rushed her to the hospital and assembled all the specialists for a consultation.”
“Mrs. Winters didn’t receive timely medical attention, which led to her death.”
“We checked Mrs. Montgomery’s call records. She called you many times that day, but all calls were declined.”
Garrett staggered, nearly falling.
The guard steadied him and continued: “Mrs. Winters had been dependent on our company’s special medication to sustain her life. Since you diverted those supplies to the Davis sisters‘ father–Mrs. Winters had gone nearly six months without the medication she needed.”
Hearing this, Garrett’s heart raced uncontrollably.
His voice trembled as he asked, “Still no news of her?”
The guard replied: “We’ve added more people to the search, but there’s no trace of Mrs. Montgomery.”
“We only know a helicopter was spotted near the mansion that night, but it was dark and we were busy with the fire, so we didn’t pay attention.”
Just then, Daphne and Phoebe waltzed in carrying shopping bags, every inch the entitled trophy wives.
They strutted over in their high heels, swaying their hips, and pressed themselves against him on either side.
“Garrett, what’s wrong with you? How could you leave us alone abroad? You have no idea how terrified we were!”
“You have no idea what we went through to get back. If we didn’t love you so much, we couldn’t have managed.”
Garrett coldly eyed their luxury purchases.
He coldly signed a check, tossed it in their faces, and said flatly: “Get out.”
The sisters froze, staring at him in shock
“Garrett, what do you mean?”
Garrett looked at their identical faces with nothing but disgust
Now, all he could think about was ordy has Kylee. He missed her desperately-
He wanted to see her smile again.
He wanted to watch her play with her dog in the yard
Then he suddenly remembered they had eaten her dog

Chapter 6
His irritation with the Davis sisters intensified. With a twisted smile, he said: “Don’t act innocent. You know exactly what I mean. You wanted to land a rich husband and played hard to get.”
“I’ve given you what you wanted. Now leave.”
“Don’t ever show your faces again. I don’t want Rylee upset.”
Daphne stood up in disbelief. “Garrett, didn’t you say you loved us?”
“Aren’t you divorced from Rylee? Why are you sending us away?”
“Did Rylee say something to you? Did she threaten you somehow?”
The next moment, Daphne’s cheek burned with pain.
Garrett calmly flexed his wrist, his eyes ice–cold. “I told you to get out. Are you deaf?”
“You were just cheap entertainment when I was bored. Did you really think you were ladies of quality?”
Then he nodded to his security team, who immediately grabbed the sisters and threw them out.
The Davis sisters pounded on the door like lunatics. “Garrett, there must be some misunderstanding! Let us in! Don’t abandon us!”
Garrett’s impatience deepened. He ordered security to pack up all their belongings and throw them outside, then restore the bedroom to its original
state.
But unfortunately, many items could no longer be found anywhere to purchase.
Looking at the empty house, anxiety consumed him. He commanded his security: “Find me a dog.”
The guard looked confused.
Garrett snapped, “A DOG! Are you fucking deaf?”
“Find one exactly like Mrs. Montgomery’s. Do it NOW.”
The guard immediately left to comply.
Just then, the housekeeper respectfully presented Garrett with an invitation.
“Sir, the Hayes family patriarch is getting married and has sent you an invitation.”
Garrett took it, furrowing his brow. “Julian Hayes? The Boston billionaire?”
As he spoke, he casually opened the invitation, but when he saw the bride’s name, his breath caught.
