Before my parents could go on TV and call
me a “terrible daughter,” I heard about
Ashley’s scandals.
My roommate told me about it.
She lived next door to my parents.
“Lilly, you’re going to be an aunt!”
“Ashley has a kid! He’s two and a half years
old!”
Last week, some guy with bleached hair
showed up at the neighborhood, saying he
needed to see Ashley.
No one cared.
Then, he dragged out a little kid. “This is
Ashley’s son! She left us! She’s trash!”
The neighborhood went crazy.

Everyone found out that the reason Ashley
was missing for three years was because she
had run off with a guy and had a baby!
“Ashley said that if she had a baby, her
parents would take care of us. She promised
that I could marry her… Then she ran away!”
“She left me and my son! How can a mother
leave her own kid?!”
The guy started crying, and everyone felt
sorry for him.
My dad saw it on his way home from work
and fainted.
The kid looked just like Ashley. There was no
denying it.
They didn’t know Ashley had been lying the
whole time.
She hadn’t been kidnapped.
She had made it all up!
My parents were embarrassed. They fainted
and had to be taken to the hospital.
Then, Brandon, who was all muscles and no
brains, punched the guy and got arrested for
assault.
My roommate said, “Lilly, you’re so lucky your
got out of that family! You would have been
dragged down with them!”
“How could Ashley be so stupid? She should.
have known the truth would come out. She
lied about everything!
“Who would believe that? It’s ridiculous!”
My classmates agreed. They thought Ashley
was disgusting.
“She’s so shameless!”
“She almost got into this school! I’m glad she
didn’t. I wouldn’t want to be around someone
like that!”
“I hope Ashley gets what she deserves!”
I smiled.
I deleted the “confidential” folder on my
phone.

I had to save myself.
When I was a ghost, I saw everything.
Ashley had used the $500,000 life insurance
money she bought on me to pay the guy off.
She tried to hide everything, but I was going
to reveal it all.
The guy was awful too.
He had gotten Ashley pregnant on purpose.
He had planned to live off her, but it didn’t
work out.
I wanted them to destroy each other!
