Hazel’s POV:
Perhaps because we were making too much noise, the few members and staff in the shooting range all turned to look at us.
“Harci…” Alexa whispered, trying to dissuade me, “Don’t bet with them.”
Dante’s tone also showed disapproval: “This isn’t your business, don’t get involved.”
But I had already spoken, and no matter how arrogant George was, he couldn’t refuse now.
Yet the first to agree was actually Caroline.
“Fine, you said it!” She stared at me aggressively, “No backing out!”
I curved my lips, replying lazily: “If I back out, may my whole family die.”
The air suddenly went quiet.
I could feel Arthur, along with Dante and Alexa, all looking at me.
Arthur frowned, remaining silent, but his eyes already carried a chill.
While Dante and Alexa: “…” They probably realized they were also implicated by my “whole family” curse.
George looked at me, his eyes full of mockery: “You? Do you even know how to handle a gun?”
I tilted my head slightly, my voice cold: “You first.”
George snorted, picked up an automatic pistol, put on protective eyewear, and walked to the shooting position.
Ten bullets, six hits on target, all between the five and nine rings.
Not bad for an amateur, but in my eyes… mediocre at best.
Caroline was already jumping out impatiently: “Hazel, you can’t even shoot and you dare to bet? Regretting it now?”
George also looked quite satisfied, his expression practically screaming “victory is assured.”
I didn’t even bother giving her a glance, turning to look at Arthur instead, uttering one word: “You.”
He stared at me, his gaze somewhat complex, but still instinctively picked up the gun.
I coldly urged: “Hurry up, I have no patience.”
He finally moved, walking to stand before the target.
Ten bullets, nine hits, two in the bullseye.

Caroline clapped excitedly, almost jumping up.
“Arthur, you’re amazing! Too bad I’m scared of gunshots, otherwise I’d definitely ask you to teach me” She acted coquettishly while moving closer.
But this time Arthur ignored her.
He neither patted her head nor responded to her coquetry.
Caroline was obviously stunned, confusion appearing on her face.
While Arthur’s gaze fell on me, as if waiting to see what I would do.
I stepped forward and directly picked up Dante’s automatic pistol.
Arthur suddenly spoke in a low voice: “If you apologize now and come back to Silver Moon Pack with me, I can cancel this bet.”
For the first time, his tone carried a hint of conciliation.
But I couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge him.
I just focused on the target ahead, my right thumb lightly flicking, causing the empty magazine to eject smoothly. My left hand caught it while simultaneously pushing a full magazine from my palm into the gun.
“Click.”
The entire movement was fluid, so fast it was almost impossible to react to.
I heard Arthur go quiet.
Not just him–everyone around went quiet.
I hadn’t deliberately shown off; I’d just performed a routine action. But they stared at me as if seeing something incredible.
I knew what they were thinking.
Even among soldiers, few could handle magazine changes this smoothly.
And me? I’d been playing with these for ages.
Those who had originally thought we were just young people fooling around now stopped their activities and looked toward my position.
What had started as a farce now drew the attention of many high–level players.
The Blood Moon Pack siblings were also stunned.
I saw Dante’s eyes widen.
He had probably thought I was just bluffing to scare the opposition. But from my recent actions, he knew: I wasn’t bluffing–1 really knew how to do this.
