I mocked him and stared at his package.
His voice trembled.
“Mandy, how could you say that?”
“Are you still mad? I promise I won’t ditch
you.”
Brad paled.
“Brad, don’t you get it? I only came to you
because I thought you could satisfy me.”
“But…”

I paused, looking him up and down.
<
“My standards have risen. And yours is not up
to the mark.”
Being publicly humiliated by your ex? That
was rock bottom.
Brad’s face turned red.
He spat.
“So you’re latching onto Liam? You’re so
pathetic.”
“You’re nothing but a slut.”
Before I could retort, Liam stepped in front of
- me.
He was over six feet tall. Brad looked like a
scrawny kid.
“Your breath stinks. Didn’t you brush your teeth in the mental hospital?”
Liam didn’t hold back, punching Brad left and
right.
Brad cried out, dodging his punches, crawling
away.
A few minutes later, Brad was lying on the
floor, covered in blood.
I ignored Brad, focusing on Liam.
I knelt down and cradled Liam’s hands, my
eyes filling with tears.
“Do your hands hurt? I’ll rub them for you.”
<
Liam looked at me and pinched my nose.
“Okay, thanks, baby.”
He called me “baby” for the first time. My
heart was pounding.
My cheeks flushed with a blush.
I looked at Liam.
“Will you come home with me for Chinese
New Year and meet my parents?”
I glanced at Liam’s lower body.
“My big package!”
Liam grinned.
He held my hand, looking at me.
“Sure. I’d marry you right now if you asked.”
Brad lost it. He was about to explode.
