“Why would I tell you? Anyway, I already know you’ll say that you’ve got work to do and then tell me to stop bothering you,” Sylvia said.
Now, Ronan wanted to play a loving couple with her.
Her words made Ronan frown in dissatisfaction. When she called him earlier, he was indeed busy with work.
He pinched his nose.
“I’ll try to make time to come here with you. Your resignation letter hasn’t been submitted yet, so you still have a chance to change your mind. Lacey also told me that she had let go. Stop acting spoiled. Just go back to work,” he said.
Sylvia chuckled.
She was wondering why he checked her schedule and came here to visit Amanda.
It turned out to be due to her resignation.
Indeed, he came to Sylvia only when he needed her to do something for him.
This had never changed, even in bed.
Sylvia couldn’t control her temper anymore.
She said sarcastically, “I didn’t do anything wrong. What does Lacey have to let go of?”
“On the day of the meeting, as the chief steward, you didn’t show up but left a resignation letter. That was Lacey’s first day at work. Why did you have to steal the thunder like that?”
Ronan frowned. Staring at her face, he was more agitated.
“Why can’t she behave obediently?” he thought.
Sylvia had been utterly disappointed in him. She thought her heart wouldn’t ache for him anymore.
But it still hurt a lot.
“So, he came here to act with me as a loving couple simply because my resignation put Lacey in a tough spot at Gordon Airlines.
“What about me? Has he ever cared about me?” Sylvia thought.
“Since I have submitted my resignation letter, I’m not planning to go back.
“Besides, I wanna get a divorce as well. I never meant to go back on my words. Please confirm when we get the papers done,” Sylvia said.
Since he wanted to protect Lacey, Sylvia would let him do it.
“Sylvia, you won’t get a penny except for the divorce certificate if you divorce me now.”
Ronan was furious.
Today, he came to give her an out to turn the page on their divorce. Besides, he wanted her to go back to work.
However, Sylvia still refused to go back to work and insisted on divorcing him.
In Ronan’s eyes, Sylvia rushed to divorce him merely because she wanted to acquire some assets.
“What else can you do apart from working at Gordon Airlines? Once divorced, with no money or skills, you won’t be able to survive for even a month.”
“Don’t worry about that.”
As Sylvia heard that, a chill ran down her spine.
It turned out that in his eyes, Sylvia was merely a parasite leeching onto him, who couldn’t live without him.
“Sure, since you’re sick of being my wife and wanna live a tough life, I’ll grant your wish. Tomorrow I’ll have my assistant prepare the contract, and we’ll get divorced next Monday!”
Ronan furrowed his brows, his gaze turning cold. Then he got into the car and left.
Sylvia felt really upset, so she raised her hand and took a taxi back to Cora’s place.
Cora looked at Sylvia’s trembling hands in anger and teased, “What, did you see Ronan again?”

“Yeah, I’m getting divorced next Monday.”
Cora raised her eyebrows. “I hope you can get it done this time.”
“Of course I’ll make it,” thought Sylvia. She wanted to say something, but Cora turned the laptop screen towards her side.
“Your firewall worked. Now it seems like there’s a tracking target.”
Sylvia changed into slippers and sat down. The data on the computer screen all pointed to Zephyr Heavy Industries Group.
So…
It was Ronan who wanted to control the Vulture Group by planting a spy.
Actually, Sylvia could roughly guess that. After all, Ronan had always been fighting against Sergio openly and secretly.
It was only in front of Caleb that Ronan would act nicely.
“Collect the data and send it all to Sergio.”
“Are you really willing to act against your husband?”
