Aaliyah arrived at the airport, planning to return to Paris.
But this time she wasn’t alone-Leroy was waiting for her.
When he saw her coming. Leroy’s face showed obvious relief.
“You’re here. Did you get everything sorted out?”
Aaliyah nodded. She’d said what she needed to say. If Claude still didn’t get it, she didn’t mind saying it a thousand times, ten thousand times.
She waited at the airport for a while, then boarded the plane.
Leroy had bought the tickets-seats right next to each other. As she watched herself leave this city again, Aaliyah’s feelings were complicated. She didn’t hate this city, it just had people in it she didn’t want to see.
She let out a soft breath. At least everything was finally over.
Aaliyah leaned her head over, resting on Leroy’s shoulder. Feeling the man tense up, she couldn’t help but laugh.
‘Mind if I crash on your shoulder? I’m beat.”
Leroy relaxed, trying to make himself more comfortable for her to rest against.
You did good. It must be painful to cut ties with the past.”
she hummed softly in agreement. “But I got a better future out of it.”
That’s right. Your future is bright.”
Leroy chuckled softly, and Aaliyah smiled too.
he fell asleep quickly, and when they returned to Paris, she went straight back to the studio.
Her life seemed unchanged-everything was moving in the right direction, except Leroy was getting more and more persistent, constantly demanding to make hings official between them.

Her smile grew wider as she hooked her arms around Leroy’s neck, pulling him down to kiss those lips.
I’ll take responsibility for you. Let’s be together-I’m ready now.”
