Chapter 7 Meeting
Gina
29 years old.
Married.

Worked at the auction house for five years…
“Kade!”
Kade had just finished dealing with the car and was immediately called into the study. “Sir, what’s up?”
“These materials were no different from the ones you showed me the first time.”
Kade looked troubled. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to check, it’s just that this was all he could find.
And besides these, Kade didn’t know what else he could check.
“All I found about Gina was just this. The rest is just her auction experiences from the past few years. Sir, isn’t this what you wanted?”
Faced with this problem, Rodrigo frowned.
This material was already pretty comprehensive, but the result wasn’t what he was happy with.
He always felt like Gina was like Gianna.
Gina! Gianna!
Even the names were similar.
The results I could find didn’t really have much to do with Gianna.
Did he overthink it?
He always felt something was off.
There were plenty of people in Newbarrow who knew about antiques, but Leandro still insisted that he come to Freyton to take this woman back.
Leandro did it on purpose.
Rodrigo frowned, picked up his phone, walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, looked at a car speeding away downstairs, and called Leandro.
The call was answered.
Rodrigo asked in a low voice, “Grandpa, who exactly was that auctioneer?”
“Did you see her?”
“Saw him.”
Leandro was silent for a few seconds and sighed, “Looks like you really didn’t care about Gianna during those three years, or else how could you not realize she was your wife when she was right in front of you.”
Rodrigo frowned, “Gianna!”
Worked here for five years, white veil covering her face, didn’t want to show her real look, felt familiar to him, Gina-
Glanna
Rodrigo’s face got colder and colder.
Gina was Gianna!
His feeling wasn’t wrong.
This was also the reason Leandro insisted he come and take her back.
Rodrigo narrowed his eyes dangerously. He said, So that’s why I couldn’t find that woman for five years. Turns out she changed her name and hid here.
She recognized him when they met at the auction house, so she walked away without hesitation.
His face turned cold! A surge of anger rushed up in Rodrigo’s chest.
She hid really well.
“Rodrigo, bring Gianna back.”
“Yeah.”
Rodrigo hung up the phone and walked out quickly.
Kade didn’t know what happened.
Just felt like Rodrigo’s vibe suddenly got really scary.
He only felt this kind of terror five years ago, when Rodrigo found out Gianna was getting an abortion and wanted a divorce.
Paisley just walked to Rodrigo’s door and saw Rodrigo going out. She was about to call him, but Rodrigo didn’t have time to pay attention to her.
Paisley quickly grabbed Kade, “Where are you guys going?”
‘Ms. Moyer, I wasn’t really sure either.”
Kade hurried to catch up.
Paisley frowned. She hadn’t seen Rodrigo this anxious in a long time.
What exactly happened.
Rodrigo got in the car and called the auction house manager.
Mr. Salazar.”
Was Gina at the auction house?”
Gina was on leave, Mr. Salazar, if you wanted someone to look at the antiques or…”
Rodrigo didn’t let the manager finish and just hung up the phone.
Asked for leave, was it because you were scared of being found out, so you hid?
‘Sir, where were we going?”
Kade, who sat in the passenger seat, asked.
You sent someone to check Gina’s place right away.”
Kade saw Rodrigo was really angry and didn’t dare ask more. He just did what Rodrigo told him right away.
Rodrigo didn’t believe she could run away this time.
Gianna took Joselyn and the three kids to a restaurant to eat before heading home. While they ate and chatted, Joselyn carefully told the whole thing that happened at the hotel.
Rodrigo didn’t make them pay for the loss, just asked his questions and then had his assistant walk them out.
The questions Rodrigo asked were obviously because he had doubts about Joselyn’s identity.
Although it was a close call, Gianna was still afraid that Rodrigo might figure something out if he thought about it.
Just as she was thinking that, Gianna got a call from her manager, “Gina, did Mr. Salazar talk to you?”
“Mr. Salazar?” Gianna frowned, “He didn’t come to me, what’s up?”
“He called and asked if you were at the auction house, I said you weren’t there, he seemed pretty mad, probably looking for you.”
Was Rodrigo looking for her?
Gianna’s mind instantly went on high alert.
It was over.
He must have found out something.
Otherwise, how could I have looked for her.
“Did he say anything else?”
“Nothing left, I heard you weren’t there, so he got mad and hung up, Gianna, this is a big shot, don’t mess with him easily.”
I got it.” Gianna hung up the phone.
Joselyn saw she looked a bit pale and asked, “What happened?”
Joselyn, you took them to your place first, and helped me book a few plane tickets, anywhere was fine. I went home to get my documents.”
‘Ah? You were leaving?”
Gianna didn’t have time to explain, “Rodrigo probably found out who I really was, he was looking for me.”
Joselyn’s pupils shrank, “What should we do? The kid?”
‘He probably didn’t know about the kid yet.”
With that person around, the fact that she had a kid would be covered up, and Rodrigo wouldn’t be able to find out for now.
‘Didn’t have time to say much, Elliot, Jacob, Linda, you guys just follow Joselyn, mommy would meet up with you later.”
Gianna wasn’t afraid to see Rodrigo, what she was afraid of was that if Rodrigo found her, he would find these three kids through her.
Rodrigo had this ability, she knew it clearly.
And Gianna absolutely couldn’t let him find the kid or take the kid.
Seeing Gianna getting anxious, the three little ones sensibly listened to her and followed Joselyn.
“Mommy, you had to be careful.”
“Okay, Mommy got it.”
Gianna drove back fast to her duplex apartment, didn’t even bother to turn on the lights, went straight upstairs to her room, grabbed her ID from the closet, and
was about to leave.
But as soon as she got downstairs, Gianna froze.
In the darkness, a little flame flickered on and off.
A faint smell of smoke drifted over.
Gianna’s heart skipped a beat.
“About to run?”
A deep voice slowly came.
Gianna was familiar with this sound.
With the moonlight coming in from outside, Gianna saw the man sitting on the sofa. She was in such a hurry when she came in that she didn’t notice him.
My mind went blank for a second.
“Pop.”
The light in the room was turned on.
The sudden bright light made Gianna instinctively close her eyes for a second. When she opened them, she saw Rodrigo sitting on the sofa looking all bossy. His long fingers held a cigarette, and he slowly blew out smoke. His dark, deep eyes stared at her, like he might tear her apart the next second.
Gianna’s body suddenly went stiff.
Sure enough!
He really found out.
He not only found her, but also came to her house.
Gianna tried hard to hold back her emotions and not let him see she was nervous.
Downstairs was the living room and kitchen, upstairs was the bedroom, Gianna didn’t know if Rodrigo had gone upstairs, if he had, the three kids’ secret
couldn’t be hidden at all.
“Five years have passed. Should I call you Gianna or Gina now?”
