Wedding day.
L
Jackson wore a tailored black suit. Dashing
as ever.
Hayden wore a white tux as the best man. A
star in the crowd.
Ashley wore a custom bridesmaid dress,
fancier than my wedding gown.
Like a little princess.
She held a video camera, ready to record my
breakdown.
All the victims of her games.
She wanted everyone to see me realize I’d
been played for a year.
く
Ashley even started a livestream.
The viewers didn’t know what was happening
but knew it was a wedding. They sent their
congratulations.
She smiled at the camera. “I’m not the bride!
I’m just the groom and best man’s childhood
friend. These guys have always spoiled me! I
had to be a bridesmaid.”
“Really? I’m not that pretty. The bride might
be jealous. She’s kind of… sensitive.”
“I have a big surprise for the bride today!
Stay tuned.”
The viewers started gossiping about the
bride.
L
But noon came and went. The guests arrived,
but the bride was missing.
Jackson’s expression darkened. He started to
realize something was wrong.
He called me, but I’d blocked his number.
He sent a message: [Riley, don’t do this. Not
today.]
Then, the guests gasped.
The club video was on the big screen.
Hayden’s voice came first.
“Jack, I’ve been pretending to be you, playing with your little bird for so long. She’s not
going to run off when she finds out, is she?”
<
“Why would she? She’s got it good. Besides,
it’s not like it’s the first time we’ve switched.”
“Just don’t get her pregnant. I find that shit
distasteful.”
“I heard Jackson and Riley are getting hitched
in a week. Is that true?”
“Of course not. The little thing wants a title.
I’m just stringing her along.”
“It’s like Riley’s a public toilet. Anyone can
use her!”
“After the wedding, you should tell her that
you’ve been swapping her out for the past
year! I want to see her reaction. Isn’t it fun to
push her into the abyss when she’s closest to
happiness?”
The wedding turned into chaos.
The video ended with an emoji rolling its eyes
and a message.
[Game over. Happy now?]
[Oh, and Hayden? No offense, but you suck in
bed. I didn’t enjoy it. Not even a little.]
[The eight male strippers I hired were better.]
[Goodbye. I don’t have time for your BS.]
The livestream numbers skyrocketed.
[LOL, these guys thought they could mess
with her. They got played.]
[This is disgusting. That woman deserves a
<
slap, and the men deserve ten.]
[Where’s the bride? Did she run?]
[Obviously. The wedding’s been going on for
hours.]
[These jerks wanted to embarrass the bride
on her wedding day. Now they get to feel it.]
Ashley was pale. She covered her face and
screamed. “Turn it off! Shut down the
livestream!”
Meanwhile, I stepped off the plane and ran to
my friend, arms open wide.
“Abby, I’m free!”
