I looked at Chad contemptuously, “What do you mean?”
Chad choked and couldn’t speak, trembling on his knees, unable to stop himself from crawling over to me, “I had a dream, and the dream was about everything you told me. I couldn’t believe that I would actually do that to you, so when Antonio and Yvonne asked me to break your arms and legs, I chose to drug you instead. I just wanted to teach you a lesson. I hate that you cut my tendons and ligaments so mercilessly after all these years. But in that dilapidated room, when you told me everything in the dream, I believed you. It did happen. How could I? How could I do those horrible things to you?”

The sound of weeping came from Chad; tears streamed down his face.
I didn’t expect Chad to remember his last life, but it’s better this way because I want Chad to die with remorse.
“Do you regret it?” I looked at Chad, who was tear–stained and so broken down that he was trembling.
“Of course I do… After I sent you to the Kaufman’s house, I didn’t leave. I was just outside the window and I heard everything Yvonne said. I was going to go in and save you, but I saw Andrew and the others coming, so I fled. I did- n’t dare face you. I was wrong to disobey you for such a bitch, I can’t forgive myself.”
“If you can’t forgive, die.”
My cold words struck Chad’s heart like a heavy hammer.
“Chad, in my last life, I don’t think I did anything to make you sick enough to kill me.”
“No, absolutely not. Antonio and I just wanted you to leave first, we didn’t want you to die. It was Antonio who did it to you. I sent you into the valley because I thought, if you couldn’t climb out, you wouldn’t be able to find help. I was planning to go and rescue you when the wedding was over and take you away. I just wanted you to leave Yvonne alone. It wasn’t my intention to kill you. But when I went, I couldn’t find you. I only saw blood, so much blood…”
“What happened after that?”
“Andrew and the rest found something fishy the next day. Mr. Parrish took the Parrish family’s bodyguards to the Kaufman’s house to find you, but I did not expect that Antonio had taken Yvonne out of the country. But Antonio said he went on a honeymoon trip with you. After that, Mr. Parrish got on a private plane to track Antonio himself. When Antonio was caught, he was found with Yvonne. Only after asking did he realize that you were nowhere to be found. Mr. Parrish was furious, he immediately shot Antonio in the head and threw Yvonne into the Golden Triangle where things can get really intense and dangerous. I was captured, and I told them about what I knew happened at the valley. Before Mr. Parrish got a heart attack, he let Andrew put me into the lion and tiger cage.”
“So you’re all dead!” I couldn’t stop laughing.
Tears fell down from my face as I was laughing. It was dumb of them to want to do all these things while wishing my dad wouldn’t find out the truth. Why did I tolerate these clowns around me at all in the first place? I should’ve killed

Yvonne a long time ago.
“Ms. Parrish, I’m sorry.”
Chad bit his tongue after saying his last words to me.

I looked at everything in front of me emotionless, while Yvonne had long pissed herself in fear. Ian pulled Yvonne away. I wouldn’t let Yvonne die so easily. What was left for her was endless remorse. For the rest of her pathetic life, I want her to regret being jealous of someone who could never be compared to her.
