I decided to clean up the family. 1
“Brother Nate, it hurts so much! Is Aunt confused by Sister Sophia’s anger! Why did
she even hit me!”
I didn’t know what to say.
Nate Grant, seeing the whole family siding with me, started to panic.
“You brat! You turned the world upside down! How dare you talk to your elder brother
like that!”
Family and friends were stunned, who could have imagined that on the day of their father’s funeral, the eldest son would do such an atrocious thing that defies humanity.
The two women in the family couldn’t suppress him at all, and the only man left, Luke Grant, was still a naïve college student and Nate’s younger brother, who Nate paid no regard to.
“Luke Grant! I’m your brother!”

This trust from my father-in-law made me both moved and sad.
Then he tore the will apart.
The mother-in-law raised her cane again, this time aiming at Julia Sanford, hitting her forehead just right, making Julia want to curse. She glanced at Nate Grant and held back, crying in grievance.
“This is just a copy, tear it at your leisure.”
“Nate Grant! Are you even thinking of driving Mom and Sister-in-law out? All for this
mistress?”
Nate Grant snatched it away, staring wide-eyed, reading it over and over in disbelief, shouting three times that it’s impossible!
The mother-in-law fiercely tapped the floor with her cane, then turned to me and said
softly, “Sophie, from now on you’re the head of the family, do whatever you want, if you don’t like anyone send them away, if anyone refuses to leave, call the police!”
Saying this, the mother-in-law handed the late husband’s will to everyone, the words were clear in black and white, all the inheritance was mine.
“Mom is old, can’t manage anything anymore, the house is yours now. Doesn’t he want to divorce you? Then divorce him, sue if you need to, mom supports you! He won’t get a penny of the inheritance your dad left you, don’t be afraid of him!”
Luke Grant was furious: “Brother! Shut up! I’ve heard everything, Sister-in-law has been keeping quiet for the sake of our family’s reputation, and yet you’re so shameless! For a mistress, you didn’t do Dad’s surgery and didn’t even come to see him before he died, and now you even want to hit Mom! Are you even human!”
“Nate Grant! You heard! This house is mine now, and you need to get out with your mistress!”
Everyone shook their heads in sighs, helpless.
Luke Grant was so angry he wanted to hit someone.
Luke Grant’s firmness left Nate Grant ashamed, and in a fit of rage, he shouted: “I’m the head of this household! If you all like this bitch so much, then get out with her!”
The mother-in-law stood up again: “The one who should get out is you! You beast! Your father has already made a will, his inheritance and this house are already Sophie’s! Now the owner of this house is Sophie! She’s the real owner here!”
Nate Grant was fuming, blowing his beard and glaring, while those around pointed fingers at him.
“Mom! You’re not that old and confused! How could you even hit little Julia? She’s a guest, you should hit that bitch Sophia Reed! She’s the one who killed Dad!”
“You’re presumptuous! This is my house! Dad’s dead, I’m the head of the family! You all have to listen to me! Otherwise, get out!”
“Still talking!” The mother-in-law was so angry she almost couldn’t catch her breath. I hurriedly supported her to sit down.

With my mother-in-law as my backing, I felt emboldened, and since Nate Grant is so shameless, I don’t have to be polite with him either.
“What brother! You’ve done this kind of thing! Kneel and apologize to Mom and Dad!”

Nate Grant immediately felt sorry and started massaging Julia’s head, standing in front of her and yelling at his mother.
