At school, beast-men served as bodyguards and servants. They weren’t allowed to sit in classrooms and study with humans.
In my previous life, I had specifically applied for Julian.
On the first day of school, he sat beside me, the only beast-man allowed in the
classroom.
But he never cherished that opportunity, only ever glancing towards Valerie, trying to
strike up a conversation with her.
As for now, I hadn’t even said anything, and Caleb had already naturally stood outside the classroom, alongside the other beast-men.
When he saw me looking at him, his eyes lit up, and his tail wagged excitedly behind him.
Really…
He was a wolf-beast, yet he acted exactly like a little dog seeing its owner.
It was impossible to refuse him.
I sighed, grabbed his wrist, and gently pulled him into the seat beside me.
“Master, you don’t have to be this kind to me.
“I can stand outside, I…”
Caleb looked at me with puppy-dog eyes, his tail wagging even harder.
“Sit still. Don’t move.”
His fluffy big tail immediately stilled, quietly wrapping around my wrist.

So obedient it melted my heart.
