Unexpectedly-
Julian actually stayed with Valerie.
After a few days, he looked like he’d been put through the wringer, his face haggard, his fur dirty and disheveled.
Valerie, of course, wouldn’t be so kind as to let Julian into the classroom.
He knelt by the door, looking utterly pathetic.
Our eyes met. He quickly, somewhat frantically, averted his gaze, but then froze when he
saw Caleb.
Emotions swirled in his eyes: anger, then jealousy.
I indifferently looked away, finding it all rather amusing.
Julian, is this truly what you wanted?
The Sterling family was renowned for its herbal medicine, while the Blackwoods specialized in advanced medical practices.
Therefore, even though the two families had completely opposing views on beast-men,
they still maintained a decent relationship.
In my previous life, I had made an enemy of Valerie because of Julian.
However, due to the relationship between the Sterling and Blackwood families, Valerie didn’t dare casually attack me.
What changed everything was a sudden beast-man riot.
A raging fire consumed the Sterling family’s legacy and all our medicinal herbs, destroying a century-old foundation.

That’s what gave Valerie the chance to walk all over me.
Initially, I thought it was an accident.
It wasn’t until Julian knelt before Valerie that I realized-
Julian had secretly contacted Valerie, snuck into the kitchens, and drugged all the
beast-men in the Sterling manor.
After the Sterling family fell from grace, Valerie chose me as her bullying target, leading
her subordinates to constantly corner and harass me.
During that time, I came home every day covered in injuries.
I even tried to comfort Julian, telling him it wasn’t his fault.
Thinking back now, it’s absolutely ridiculous.
This time, I wouldn’t bother with Julian.
If he liked being tormented by Valerie, then he could just enjoy it.
