But I hadn’t expected Valerie to go to such lengths to win the competition.
When Caleb burst into my room, the corners of his eyes were red as blood, and his entire body trembled.
I instantly recognized it: Caleb had been drugged.

So I stood on tiptoe and gently pressed my lips against Caleb’s.
“And now? Don’t you need your mouth either?”
His deep beast eyes darkened little by little. His hands had, at some point, firmly
encircled my waist.
He said, “I don’t need anything anymore.
“I only need you!”
I curved my lips, pressed Caleb onto the bed, and leaned in to kiss him.
“Hurry up. You have a competition.”
Caleb’s burning breath caressed my ear, his voice hoarse.
“I can’t be quick.”
“I said quick. No more nonsense.
“Do it.”
