Chapter 9
Seeing Archie, Finley was visibly stunned.
Then he forced himself to appear composed, putting on the airs
of a host.
“What are you doing here? I don’t recall inviting a loser like you,” he said.
Archie burst out laughing, like a cunning fox.
“Finley, you’re so gullible-you actually fell for it. I stole your woman. That spot was just charity I threw your way because I felt sorry for you.”
Finley’s smug expression froze on his face.
Archie shook the bag containing a brand-new four-piece bedding set. “I’m here for Isabelle.”
The implication was crystal clear.
In an instant, Finley’s expression shifted from confusion to shock, then to rage.
Finally, he roared: “How dare you steal my woman!”
Finley swung his fist at Archie.
But the alcohol made his movements sluggish.

Archie casily sidestepped the attack.
Finley stumbled and crashed to the floor.
Only then did I step in to stop them. “Enough, cut it out.”
Finley looked utterly bewildered, grabbing the hem of my dress and demanding: “Isabelle, are you going to abandon me for
him?”
I said coldly: “You don’t actually think you hid the fact that you were dating two women at the same time very well, do you?”
Just then, we heard a “snap” from behind us.
The liver protection pills in Emilia’s hand had fallen to the floor.
She forced a smile and asked: “What are you talking about? I don’t understand.”
I looked at her with pity.
Pretending not to notice everyone’s luggage in the living room, I said directly: “You weren’t planning to stay here overnight, were you? Your dorms close in ten minutes. Shouldn’t you be heading back?”
Only then did everyone suddenly realize what was happening, and they quickly fled the scene.
Watching their embarrassed retreat, I winked at Archie. “We

make a good team.”
Archie smiled back: “Absolutely.”
After that day, Finley’s classmates cut ties with him one by one.
Someone even had a huge fight with him.
That person yelled: “What were you trying to prove, acting like some rich guy? That wasn’t your house, but you had the nerve to bring people there for a party. I’ve never been so humiliated in my life. I ran through the streets in flip-flops and nearly died out there. Give me back the gifts I gave you. I’m so unlucky to have ever known someone like you.”
Not only did his classmates blame him, but Emilia’s attitude toward him became even worse.
She even posted updates condemning Finley.
[Brief and insincere affection isn’t worth holding onto.]
[Thank you for your concern. We’ve already broken up.]
[A kept man actually had the nerve to mess with me. He gave me a fake ring, and I thought it was some rare design. How disappointing.]
[Moving forward, I’ll focus on my studies. Please continue to support me.]
However, the netizens who had been following her showed no

forgiveness.
[I’m dying laughing. When people warned you a few days ago, you kept defending him like he was your precious baby.]
[I said from the start that no aunt buys underwear for her nephew. You blocked me then. Now you finally know the truth.]
[She just steals other people’s boyfriends to show off her charm.]
[Weren’t you showing off your lovey-dovey relationship every day before? The moment you found out he had no money, you dumped him immediately. Your attitude sure changed fast.]
Emilia blamed all the netizens’ mockery on Finley.
She had Brody find an excuse to kick Finley out of the research
group.
But Finley wasn’t someone to be pushed around easily.
He had actually secretly photographed intimate pictures of Emilia when they were together.
Then Finley spread the photos around as revenge.
This former couple became notorious on campus in the most disgraceful way.
Brody was furious and took Finley straight to court.
Finley panicked and waited for me downstairs at my company, 4/5
