Lucas took her to Evercrest Mental Health Center, the same one
she called before.
After getting off the car, Adelaide exclaimed, “Is he here?”
Lucas locked the car and said, “Well, he’s in a really bad state of
mind. I’ll take you to see him, but I can’t guarantee you’ll be able
to talk to him face to face. Be prepared mentally.”
Adelaide was silent, it was hard to imagine.
After going in with him, she asked, “Do you know what you
would face if Spencer found out about this?”
“My friend had nothing to do,” Lucas answered quite casually.
“Wasn’t your relationship very good?”
“The relationship is good.” He said confidently, but Lucas had a nonchalant look on his face. “So as long as we stay hidden and
not get caught, then it’s fine.”

and another guy, the three of them were like a trio, the Hicks
Group was their joint venture. Later for some reason, the Hicks
Group became solely owned by Sir Pierce. As for these two, one
is crazy, and the other one is missing.”
Adelaide asked, “Can I come in?”
The head doctor said, “No, he had aggressive behavior!”

the one who switched me and Amanda back then?”
“He said it himself.”
Adelaide listened quietly to what he had to say.
“He used to talk nonsense all the time, the most he said was that
I would never let that bastard Finley see his own daughter
again.”
Adelaide’s pupils shrank, and she looked silent.
After a while, she asked, “Lucas, trading this for a birthday gift
seems like overkill. Why don’t you just tell me your true
intentions?”
Lucas’s eyes lit up, and he grew to appreciate Adelaide even
more.
“You are really smart, no wonder Spence can’t let go of you.“”
Adelaide frowned slightly, really not liking to hear such compliments. “Can we get back to the point?”

next time,” Lucas coaxed, with one hand in his pocket, the two
of them leisurely walked away.
He said, “My relationship with Spence is not bad, our families do
business together, you know that. Through Garrett and
