Chapter 127
Kyle stormed out, but not before shooting Zina one last venomous glare.
Kyle spat, “You’re nothing but a cheap slut who’d sleep with anyone. Thank God I saw your true colors early and got together with Rosie–otherwise. I might’ve actually been fooled by your filthy tricks.
“Kellan, go ahead and stay with this shameless bitch. Let’s see if this whore makes a cuckold out of you and betrays you.”
Even as Kyle stormed far down the hallway, his furious voice still echoed through the corridor, refusing to fade.
Zina quirked an eyebrow. “Mr. Carter, aren’t you even a little mad after being provoked like that?”
Kellan shrugged, a sly grin on his face. “He was insulting you, not me. Why should I be angry?” He spread his hands with a sly, cunning grin.
Zina’s lips twitched in exasperation. She pointedly turned her head away, refusing to dignify that with a response.
Fine, Zina thought to herself. “Kellan is one tough cookie!
Zina took a deep breath and quickly composed herself before changing the subject. “Mr. Carter, don’t forget what you promised me. I have other matters to attend to, so I won’t take up more of your time.”
“Okay” Kellan’s gaze remained impassive, as if nothing could stir him.
Meanwhile, after leaving the company, Kyle didn’t head straight back to his villa. Instead, he made a detour to the Sinclair residence.
In the living room, Rosie was sitting on the sofa, deep in conversation with her mother. The moment she saw Kyle walk in. she instantly fell silent.
“Kyle, you’re here?” Rosie greeted with a sweet smile.
From an angle he couldn’t see, she exchanged a knowing glance with her mother. Avery immediately took the hint and excused herself, leaving the two of them alone downstairs.
Rosie hooked her fingertip around Kyle’s waistband, her eyes shimmering with seductive allure, subtly drawing him in
All the fury Kyle had bottled up from Kellan instantly melted away as Rosie pulled him down onto the sofa, and he surrendered himself completely to her.
Rosie’s fingertips traced slow, teasing circles on his chest, while her piteous eyes shimmered like a pool of unshed tears.
Kyle melted under her touch. His fingers moved of their own accord, tangling in Rosie’s hair as he pulled her close, capturing her lips in a searing kiss.
The kiss lasted an eternity, leaving them both breathless. When they finally parted, Rosie’s face was flushed crimson as she gazed up at Kyle with wounded doe eyes–a silent, pouting reproach.
Kyle’s heart was pounding, but remembering the important matter, he quickly shook his head to clear his thoughts. Only then did he say, “Guess who I saw at Kellan’s place today? Someone you’d absolutely never expect,”

Chapter 127
Rosie looked up in confusion, a sudden sense of foreboding gripping her. “Don’t tell me it was Zina?”
“You got it,” Kyle said.
With Rosie’s eyes widening in shock, Kyle recounted everything that had happened that day, carefully glossing over the parts where Kellan had put him in his place.
In the end, Kyle, his face still simmering with indignation, blurted out, “I never thought Zina could be this shameless. When she couldn’t latch onto me, she actually went to Kellan to dig up dirt on me.
“Rosie, don’t you worry–you’re the only one in my heart. No matter what Zina does, I won’t even spare her a second glance.”
Kyle’s words rang with such conviction that Rosie’s heart melted into a puddle of tenderness, leaving her utterly soft and yielding in that moment.
“Kyle, I always knew you loved me most. I’ll always be by your side. After pledging her loyalty, Rosie’s face took on a hint of
uncase.
Rosie hesitated and said, “But what if Zina starts poisoning Kellan’s ear? Will you still get your share of the Carter family’s business? Kellan wouldn’t secretly move against you, would he?”
Her seemingly crucial words were laced with hidden agendas.
Kyle’s expression instantly turned grave, his eyes gleaming with sinister calculation as he stared into the distance.
