Chapter 11
Looking all fired up, the twins gave a firm nod before turning to stare at
to stare at the jar in my hands.
“Now then, let me tell you something” A scheming smile crawled on my face as I started telling them disturbing things that could happen once insects managed to get inside their bodies. “They can get into your nose, mouth, ears, or even your eyes!”
From there, I let their imagination run wild until their faces paled in aghast shock. That whole time, everybody only watched us in silence from the side.
“And do you know what happens when they bite you?”
They gasped and came to a standstill, shivers running down their spines. I silently chuckled at their reaction before reaching out to pat their heads.
“Now, you know why your nanny was scared. You should admit that you made a mistake and apologize to everyone you troubled.”
“H–Huh? Why are we a–apologizing!” Rowan stuttered, face, flashed in embarrassment.
“Because a person who knows how to apologize isn’t a kid anymore.”
1 bestowed them a knowing smile like how a wise teacher would. The twins looked up at me in awe, their eyes all sparkly.
After dealing with these two troublemakers, the house attendants seemed to have started seeing me in a different light. Their nanny maid showered me with praises and even told me how I was going to be a capable mother one day, which I thought was a bit of a stretch since all I did was keep shut their traps.
How they treated the adults irked me too, but then, later on, I learned that they were only like this because their mother was too busy at work these days to pay them any attention. It also turned out that they’re being smothered by their Spartan–like study regime and their new tutor’s stern way of going about things, ultimately pushing them to this rebellious phase.
“I am very sorry for troubling you with this, Ma’am.”
“No need to apologize. All of us have our fair shares of problems,” I assured Felix and Rowan’s nanny maid. “There is no such thing as a perfect family.”
“Thank you for understanding, though I’m afraid I might have to ask for another favor right now,”
She needed not to ask, as the boys began to cling to me. It turned out they wanted me to play with them, and I was more than happy to oblige if it meant getting away from the party. She thanked me again but the house attendants looked hesitant to let me.
Little did I know that my agreeing so would give a whole new purpose to this day.
“So, you’re really going to play with us?” Rowan questioned, a brow lifted.
“Are you our nanny now!” Felix chimed in, looking ecstatic.

That honestly sounded better than being puppeteered and paraded around by Titania. At least for today, I would take up the role of a babysitter. It certainly felt more freeing than my position as the pack’s Luna.
“Alright, then. What do we do? Oh, you can just call me Vivi”
“You know, you’re not like other adults here. You speak so casually, Rowan commented.
“My, is that right-? Does that make me special, then?”
“No, you’re very frank and unladylike. You seem like a loner too, Felix pointed out.
At that moment, I felt an urge to smack the boy in the head, though he did have a point. Not wanting this peeving conversation to un. I just asked the kids again what they wanted to do.
drag
“Dunno” Rowan shrugged nonchalantly. “We usually play indoor games. We’d play chess and other stuff, but they seem all boring now. So, we tried catching bugs.
“Catching bugs is fun, sure. Just don’t go around showing them to everyone. But we can’t keep doing that here. Should we try a new game, then?” I offered with a grin
“What game?”

Chapter 11
“Have you ever tried playing basketball?”
The boys shook their heads back and forth. I didn’t expect that, given that basketball was a favorite pastime of kids their age. It went to show that they were that different from other children.
was something I used to enjoy myself, and I bet they’d come to like it as well
The game was su
“I teach you, guys. But first, let’s find a ball and a basketball ring.”
We moved outside and searched for a good spot to play at. I also kindly asked for help from the maids who weren’t at the party in preparing the materials. We used a net that they found in the kitchen and made do with an ordinary ball that the twins happened to have.
After putting everything in their proper place, I proceeded to explain the mechanics for playing basketball before showing them a demonstration on dribbling, passing and shooting.
“Easy peasy, right? One against two. Let’s see who can score the highest,” I said, which fired them up.
Psh! Yeah, it’s easy. But you’re a girl, and we’re boys. You can’t beat the two of us,” Felix retorted, arms crossed.
“He’s right. You’re only making things unfair for yourself, Rowan added coolly, hands in his pockets,
“Seeing is believing, guys- Oh, I know! To make things more exciting, why don’t we have the loser do a dare? Like doing a monkey dance or something.”
As usual, the two fell for it, looking so in for such a silly challenge. They were more pumped up than ever. It’s a good thing, but my victory on this one was a sure hall
“Let’s do it! Let’s do it” the twins chanted out loud in sync, each with a scheming smirk.
“Madam…“one of the maids called out to me worriedly, torn between stopping me and letting me be. “The party.”
“It’s fine, it’s fine. I have to entertain the guests, don’t I? And they are,” I said, giving her a dismissive wave.
On the maid’s mark, the game commenced. With the twins nanny maid and the other house attendants acting as audience, we hit off. good start and played to our heart’s content. Though it was a bit hard in a dress, I could still move around and keep up with the kids.
Felix seemed to be more athletic than Rowan while the latter was great at strategies and bluffs. 1 let them score for the first few rounds while I silently planned for a comeback. Felix and Rowan sure were talented to be able to pick up this fast.
But they still had a long way to go before they could beat me.
“Hey, wanna see a jumpshot?” I asked Felix who’s currently dribbling the ball, bead of sweats streaming down his forehead.
“A what shot?” he blurted out, now distracted. I took this chance to steal the ball from him, surprising him and Rowan
Taking a huge leap, I threw the ball a good few meters away from the ring, making everyone gape in awe as their eyes chased after it. As the ball flew through the air, they all watched intently until it fell right into the net and dropped to the ground.
“Woah! That’s so awesome, Vivi! Teach me that one Felix exclaimed, clearly y amazed.
“Why, thank you!”
“That’s so cool, Vivi
- This is so fun! But.. Rowan said, looking embarrassed for some reason.
“Hm? What’s wrong?
“Can you play with us again
“Sure, Rowand I’ll be happy to-
“And can you please not wear a skirt next time? I almost saw your underwear”
Dumbfounded. I merely blinked at Rowan who’s now all bashful and fidgety, his cheeks turning up. At his comment, the house attendants didn’t allow me to play anymore. Given no chance to protest, I suggested that I would just take him and Felts, for a tour.
“No way I’m going to the party now! I need these boys as much as they need me to get rid of their boredom! Just a little bit longer
Chapter 11
As we walked past a glass door, I caught sight of something that didn’t quite blend in the ambiance of the place. It’s sticking out beside a sofa, tempting me to enter the room at this very instant..
“Oh, that’s mine,” Felix chimed in. “I hid it there since I didn’t get permission to bring it.”
That’s too bad.”
With a grin spreading across my face, I walked inside and grabbed the black skateboard with white wheels and striped design. A group of maids happened to pass by at that moment, pausing as they saw me wandering into the room.
“Unim… Excuse me,” one of the gammas called out, making me and the children turn to look at them. “Everyone is waiting for you outside. The elders are also looking everywhere for you. You should have made an appearance by now.”
The maids seemed to be expecting me to put the skateboard back, but I only continued exchanging looks with them. They all fell silent for a moment, returning my stare with a baffled one. I lifted a brow in question, urging the gammas to speak again
“So, umm.. What are you going to do with it…“
I’m borrowing it, of course. The maids gaped at me while the kids gave me looks of admiration.
“You know how to skate too? Is there anything you can’t do?”
1 grinned at them knowingly before placing the skateboard back on the ground, then I stepped on it. With a smirk on my face, I eyed the maids, wordlessly telling them that I’d crash them over if they won’t budge out of the doorway
“W–Wait! Madam-
“Incoming!!!”
And so, I came r
rolling.
Everyone frantically moved out of the way, their eyes wide in shock as I skated past them. Behind me, Felix and Rowan also watched in awe. Completely thrown off guard, they had to take a moment or two to let the scene register in their heads.
Then, they remembered they needed me to go to the party right now.
“Luna Silvermoonnnnn!!!”
