Chapter 21
Jaiden grabbed my hand and began to walk to the coffee shop, taking the lead like he told me he would.
We made our way to the building across the entrance of the studio. As we did, I quietly watched the crowd, a gust of wind hitting my face. I imagined he would get a larger fanbase than that if he was to enter the industry.
Jaiden would make a good model, if I were to be honest.
Is everything okay. Vivi? You’re kinda spacing out,” Jaiden asked, worried. I had gotten a little too distracted and could no longer keep up with his pace. “Oh, no, it’s nothing. All’s well,” I answered, smiling
Once at the coffee shop, we decided to settle down on one of the tables outside. Anyone who would step out of the building would be able to spot us easily.
Now that our position was set, all we had to do was wait. We went on to order a drink and some light snacks to pass time with
Moments later, Jaiden noticed something. “Uhh… Vivi?”
Yeah?
“Where’s your hat?
“Huh?”
My hands quickly flew over my head. I groped around, only to find that my yellow sun hat was missing. “Oh, not It must have fallen somewhere!” I exclaimed, frantically bolring out of my seat. My eyes darted all around the place yet saw not a single sign of it.
“Ill go look for it, Jaiden offered, standing up as well.

“No, it’s okay, Jay. I’ll do it. It’s my fault for spacing out earlier, anyway”
“It’s alright, though. We have time

somewhere around there. I’ll be back in a minute.
“I promise I’ll be quick. Besides, you have to prepare since you’re the one who’s gonna take the lead later, right?”
Giving him a smile, I pulled myself together before setting off to look for my hat. Jaiden may have said that he wanted to lead the act, but I could tell that he was nervous. When we tried it out earlier, I could see how uneasy he was,
and he even got all flustered.
Still, I really don’t know where and when my hat fell off. Sighing, I took a glance at the crowd near the entrance of the studio. “I may have said III be gone for a minute, but this might actually take a while.
The people that had gathered to see Patricia appeared to have gotten a little bigger in number–and rowdier. Not wanting to waste any more seconds, I started searching at once. No matter what, I had to find it, or else, Patricia and all those people with her would see my
Seconds turned into minutes, and soon, the unprecedented happened
From where I was at the moment, I could make out the throng of people flocking to the coffee shop where I had left Jaiden waiting. At first, I thought he was just attracting attention without him knowing again, but then, I heard the ear–piercing shrill that could only come from a certain Patricia.
“My Alphaaa–f”
From that point on everything happened in a flash. It turned out that Patricia had made an uproarious appearance outside the coffee shop after spotting Jaiden there. With eyes as wide as saucers, I watched the dramatic entrance.
The model, with her group of supporters in tow, strode forward and readied to pounce on my bodyguard.
“The is too soon! I haven’t even found my hat yet!” I shncked, panic stricken. “If I go now, she will debuitely see my face, and she will recognize me, and if she blows up a fuse, she will post things about me online, anal since she’s popular, word will spread about me chrating on my mate, and if that happens, His Scumbag Majesty and Her Haughty Highness will find out and they will bite my head off
for real this time-
‘But then, I remembered that I was not there to make a fuss over such consequences–I was there to help my one and only friend.

ting into a panic like this.
I had to get it together and put my thoughts straight. There’s no use getting
Besides, I was good at finding a solution to every problem. I could both find my hat and see this act through. For now, though, I had to think of a way to solve this one before me.
Whatever happens happen! I don’t care anymore! I grumbled before making a dash to where Jaiden and Patricia were—so much for finding a solution.
Once back at the coffee shop, I sighed at the sight of yet another hurdle I had to pass through. It’s completely packed. Left with no choice. I forced my way into the crowd, all the while uttering apologies to those I bumped into.
I could now see that Patricia was so close to smothering Jaiden.
Her obsessive attitude was out in the open for everyone to see, but it seemed that her target was the only one there who had a problem with it. He remained standing at the comer, stiff and tense from head to toe, unsure of what to do.
Even though Jaiden was an alpha, he never used his power to hurt others. He was just that kind. However, at times like this, Jaiden’s softness could be quite problematic.
“Well, here goes nothing.” I muttered to myself as I ran toward Jaiden and Patricia.
With a steeled resolve, I took a deep breath and reached forward, ready to commence the first phase of the plan.
The plan was that we had to pretend as lovers who almost broke up after a huge misunderstanding. Apparently, Jaiden didn’t want to make it too obvious that this was a last–minute set–up, which was why he decided to add a little bit of drama to the story. Apart from this, showing her that we were madly in love with each other would likely leave her with no choice but to give up,
Regardless of what Patricia thought, true love would always prevail in the eyes of everyone,
“Darling–1 coord, trying not to cringe as I used a sickeningly sweet tone.
