Let the fake lovers act begin.
I zoomed past Patricia, who was already but a step away from him. Before she could have a chance to see my face, I wrapped my arms around the alpha and tucked my head under his chin, sending him almost staggering backward. I heard Jaiden’s breath hitch, felt his heart beating fast in his chest.
“H–Huh?! Vivi-”
“Oh, my sweet Alpha- I miss you so, so much I whined loudly, interrupting him. “Tam sure it is by the will of the Moon Goddess that we see each other again!”
“Uh. V Vivi.”
Not minding all the surprised stares and gasps around us, I embraced him so tightly that I could hear his pounding heartbeat and smell his minty scent. I tried my very best to ignore these, though I still felt my cheeks heating up from how close we were to each other. Now with my face hidden in this position, we could still start the show even without my hat on
“What is the meaning of this?! Who in the world is she!!” Patricia yelled behind me, completely enraged. “Alpha, explain yourself!”
“Uhh… This is… Jaiden trailed off before he lowered his head slightly to look at me and whispered frantically. “Are we really ready now! Where’s your hat?”
“Sorry, Jay. I couldn’t find it. I’m alright now, though. Just don’t let go of me. I need to hide my face,” I whispered back as I stared up at Jaiden with an apologetic look. Is that alright?”
For some reason, he seemed as though he’d been knocked out of breath. I could feel him tensing up and getting warmer, which made
me worry.
“Ummm… S–Sweetheart?” I called, trying to snap him out of his daze.
That’s when a fierce blush blossomed across his cheeks all of a sudden, making my eyes widen in surprise. He hastily looked away and covered his mouth with the back of his hand, looking flustered once again. I could not help but think that this was quite a sight to behold

“Go on. It’ll be fine.” I murmured, my words coming out muffled as I continued to bury my face in his chest. “Do what you have to do”
“Geez You’re killing me, Vivi…” Jaiden muttered, sounding almost breathless. I wish I could be as calm as you right now.

I thought she’s going to leave me, but it turned out I was wrong.”“

At her outburst, I could hear a round of gasjas and chatters breaking out from the crowd. It seemed like the audience had gotten bigger whür I wasn’t looking. By this point, we had completely turned themselves into one huge spectacle.
“Did that woman seduce you?! Oh, I’m sure she did! She stole you away from me!“ Patricia continued to shout, becoming more and more desperate
“No, she didn’t do such a thing! We’re deeply in love with each other! We only had a misunderstanding! But that’s all in the past, and now Now, she has finally returned to me,” Jaiden said as he tightened his grip on me, taking me aback a bit. “And I will never let her go

Maybe things were escalating a little way too quickly to my liking. The two of them appeared to be very caught up in the moment.
“How ridiculous! You seriously can’t be saying that! If all it takes for you to break up is some misunderstanding, then that is not love!”

I swore I really tried my best to keep my expression straight the whole time.
This god–tier cringiness was going to be the death of me. Such a heated exchange made me put on the flattest look I could manage. I knew I prefered joining the spectators instead of being the center of attention like this.
‘Please, please, please, just get this over and done with, I grimaced, wanting this whole clown show to just finish already.
But then, even when Jaiden already said almost everything he had to, Patricia was still putting up a fight.
I had to admit she was quite the tough one. As much as I wanted to advise her against it since this would only do bad things to her image, all I could do was trust Jaiden to handle the situation. He did tell me to leave everything to him, and with my hat gone, he would try harder to keep me hidden until the end no matter what.
Just as I noticed that some of those who were watching had taken out their phones and started filming the scene, he had put his hand on the back of my head and pulled me closer to him.
I was taken aback when he held me tighter, almost possessively. And even though I wanted to pull away and keep a decorous distance between us, I could not with how firm his grip was. With that, all I could do was leave it to him again.
“No, it can’t be over like this, Jaiden! I’ll make you mine, even if I have to take you away from her! I’ll do anything to keep you, Alpha!” Patricia exclaimed once more, angrier than ever. “Get your filthy hands off him, you whore!”
