Chapter 22 (END)
Helena
Since Liam wasn’t listening to me, I pulled his hand. He finally stopped.
Samuel coughed, growing weaker under Liam’s attack.
Liam turned to me, eyes full of emotion. “Why are you stopping me from killing him?”
My heart ached just looking at Liam-full of disappointment. “Because your fight is with me,
Liam! You’re a liar! A traitor!”
Tears fell, unstoppable. I was shaking, fists clenched tight. “You said you loved me! You bastard, you only deceived me for revenge!”
I hit his chest hard, but he didn’t resist. Then, suddenly, he pulled me into a tight hug, almost mpossible to break free from despite my struggles.
‘You misunderstand, dear,” his voice was low, heavy with something I couldn’t read. “That’s why had to kill Samuel now. He spread lies-”
‘SHUT UP WITH YOUR NONSENSE!” I cut him off angrily, pushing him with all my strength until |
ɔroke free.
stepped back, still hurting. “You don’t love me!”
‘I do.” He stayed calm, but his eyes held a deeper truth. “The female wolf you saw… she’s m
sister.”
froze, then laughed, tears flowing freely.
Why keep pretending, Liam? Aren’t you satisfied seeing me destroyed?” I gasped. “Just admi
t!”
Everything you think is wrong.”
t wasn’t Liam’s voice.
A female wolf stepped forward, smiling sweetly, weightless as if carrying no burden. She fixec
her gaze on me.
‘Hi, I’m Zoe. I left Alpha Liam-my brother-for the wrong mate. He had to save me earlier. Sorry for making you wait and misunderstand.”
I was stunned, dizzy. Unsure. Zoe came closer and opened her arms, showing the same mark Liam bore.
“I’ve been hiding since I was a child. So you don’t recognize me,” she said.
Had I… misunderstood everything?
Damn it. Who dared do this? Liora. She planned it all. Even those three wolves earlier. I should
have seen it.
“I could never hurt you, Helena,” Liam’s voice trembled, full of love as he looked at me. “You’ve been part of my life since the beginning. Even as a child, I never forgot you.”
I felt suffocated-not from sadness, but from the foolishness of doubting him over unclear evidence.
“But I’m still angry, Helena. I will deal with Samuel, who caused all this.”
Without waiting for me, Liam faced Samuel.
“Samuel isn’t the culprit!”
Liam stopped.
I hugged Liam from behind. “Liora. Samuel and Elder Elira saved me. He planned everything to destroy me.”
Liam looked between me and Samuel. Then he hugged me, our guardian wolves close.
“Sorry I came late. I didn’t know if Zoe-”
“It’s my fault,” I cut in softly. “I was too afraid to believe you.”
“I will free you completely, Helena,” Samuel whispered weakly.
Liam sneered. “You think saving Helena means you come back? No. You caused her pain!”
“You’re the best, Helena. And when it comes to regret, I’m the one who deserves it most. Samuel’s eyes were hollow with despair.
I stared blankly.
Liam whispered, “So, what will you do with them?”
shrugged. “I don’t know. Maybe leave them here. Without help. Without torture.”
‘I’ll respect your choice.”
left with Liam, finally happy.
didn’t look back at Samuel or Elder Elira. Not even Liora, who died by Samuel’s hands.
Days later, I heard Kaylen had died after being expelled from his new pack.
Everything was over.
returned to Ironshade.
_iam wasted no time and held our mating ceremony.
‘You deserve the best, my daughter, Helena Ironshade,” Dominic said with tears as I stood on th
moonstone.
‘Thank you, Father. You’re the best.”
It took so long to reach this moment.
Blood. Betrayal. Loss.
I was abandoned, expelled, wounded.
But tonight, the world fell silent as he stood before me
Thorne stood with a proud yet emotional expression. He promised to remain my guardian if danger arose.
Liam.
His eyes never left mine, as if I was the only thing left in this chaotic world.
“I love you,” he said, voice hoarse but firm. “Not because you’re strong. Not because you’re Ironshade’s daughter. But because you’re Helena. The woman who chose to rise when everyone wanted her to fall.”
I held my breath. My heart raced, but for the first time-without fear.
Liam took my hand.
“I don’t promise the world will be safe. But I promise to love you until my last breath.”
For the first time since it all began, I believe.
Believe in a love not born from weakness, but from wounds healed together.
Under the watchful eyes of the wolves and the moon, Liam kissed my neck-marking me perfectly.
I know our journey isn’t over.
But now, I’m not alone.
THE END.
