Easton, those people really are despicable.”
I’ve never been involved with those women. It was always them dragging me along. As for those photos, it’s most likely they were taken from misleading angles. If you want proof, I can even dic ip the surveillance footage from those places.”
I used to think that, since I grew up alongside Easton and the others, we were at least friends. I ever imagined they’d stab me in the back. Tsk. They’re really shameless.”
His words made my eyes widen.
ooking closely at the photos, I realized none of them actually showed a clear front view.
The only reason I could recognize Martin so quickly was because of how familiar I’d been with im back then.
everything really had been orchestrated by Easton and the others, that meant they had neve een good people I thought they were–not from the very beginning.
The thought made me sigh.
I was so stupid… I never even once suspected them.”
Martin reached out and gently ruffled my hair.
It’s not your fault. Blame us both for not realizing sooner what Easton and those three were apable of.”
or the first time in a long while, we found ourselves comforting each other, speaking openly Imost as if we were children again–back in those innocent days.
Meanwhile, Easton, Connor, and the rest had been thrown out. They lingered a short distance rom the villa, unwilling to leave.
By underhanded means, they had discovered where Martin lived in France. Now, they stood outside his gates.
They had thought Debbie only drove them away to provoke them. They expected she would each out again, that she wouldn’t truly sever ties.
But she hadn’t contacted them at all. Everything had gone against their expectations.
‘Debbie… how did it come to this? Why doesn’t she love us anymore?”
‘Wasn’t I supposed to like Charlie? Then why does it hurt so much now that she’s engaged?”
‘We grew up with Debbie so why were we the ones abandoned?”
They stood at the gates, questioning each other, questioning themselves.
And only now did they finally feel the ache in their chests.
The thought of Debbie walking away from them made Easton’s world fade into stark black and
white.
Even Connor stopped smiling, his peach blossom eyes were cold.

Kenji fell silent, his expression darkening.
Hayden grew restless, pacing anxiously.
He had believed that an apology would be enough to earn her forgiveness. Never had he imagined she could be this merciless.
Or perhaps… it was simply that what they had done was far too cruel.
They stayed outside Martin’s villa the entire night, but Debbie’s forgiveness never came.
They couldn’t force their way in. All they could do was beg the servants to call for her.
But she refused to step outside.
And so, they had no chance to see her again.
