Chapter 15
Samuel’s footsteps sounded hurried. His body pushed through the crowd, which had begun to whisper. His face was tense. His jaw was clenched.
He looked like a knight who had just realized his beloved had fallen on the wrong battlefield.
He approached quickly, then bent down toward Liora, who was still pretending to be
unconscious.
“Darling, are you okay?” His voice was anxious, too dramatic.
But everything changed instantly… when Samuel’s eyes met mine.
He stopped.
“Helena?”
His gaze stripped me bare from head to toe.
My red dress shimmered under the lantern light. My hair was styled like a noblewoman’s. My posture was straight, my chin lifted.
was no longer the Helena he had discarded. No longer the one who begged or cried when she was expelled. The one standing before him now was a wolf he barely recognized.
‘How could you still be alive and return… with that appearance?” he muttered unconsciously.

Samuel! I’m here!” Liora’s shout snapped Samuel back to reality.
He helped Liora to her feet.
‘He pushed me after showing off the dress he stole!”
Liora was completely convinced that I had stolen the dress. Without realizing it, she was embarrassing herself even more.
‘You look foolish for not being able to tell the difference between a noble dress and a stolen one,” I said calmly.
‘Helena!” Samuel glared at me disapprovingly. “You can’t humiliate my mate like this. I know you’re jealous of Liora. If you want to come back to me, this isn’t the way to do it!”
I almost spat. With confidence, he said I wanted to return to his embrace.
“Are you crazy, Samuel?” My voice was cold. “Back off, both of you. Disgusting couple. You came here to beg Ironshade, didn’t you?”
Liora glared. “Watch your mouth, fool! How dare you!”
I rolled my eyes lazily. “That’s the truth. I invited you here myself, to see firsthand how you crawl to mend the Silver Moon pack’s alliance!”
Samuel and Liora exchanged confused glances. On one hand, they feared it was true, but on the

other, they couldn’t believe it.
I raised my chin arrogantly. “So now, crawl in front of me!”
Liora stepped forward and was about to slap me, but her hand froze in midair. Liam’s hand was
too fast.
“You?” Liora whispered, a mix of fear and surprise in her voice.
“Alpha Liam, what did you do to my mate?” Samuel protested. “Why did you interfere?”
Coldly, Alpha Liam pushed Liora. This caused her to stumble backward until she fell to the ground.
Samuel grew angrier. But before he could react, Liam had already scratched his face.
“This is the beginning for those who have hurt Helena.” Liam scanned the wolves with his gaze “I am her intended mate. While Samuel and Liora are traitors!”
Shocked murmurs echoed from all the wolves. Including Samuel and Liora, who were stil grimacing in pain.
‘The strongest Alpha in the north is the intended mate of this wolf. Who is he really?”
‘His aura does seem different. He’s not an ordinary wolf!”
‘I think they’re a good match. Helena seems to have noble blood.”
Their whispers made Samuel even more enraged. He stood up. Though he knew it was mpossible, he was too emotional-choosing to release his energy to attack me or Alpha Liam. But before that, a massive, dark energy filled the room. Dominic Ironshade, the Alpha king anc my father, had arrived.
The energy came like a storm crashing into the chest-dense, cold, and making anyone’s knee: nearly give way.
The air changed.
His body was large and sturdy, his eyes glowing like embers long buried and newly reignited. Samuel froze instantly. His energy vanished in the presence of that figure. Even Liora, who ha ust tried to stand, slipped back to the ground as her knees weakened under the pressure of the Alpha’s highest energy.
‘What is happening here?” Dominic’s voice thundered. Deep. Every syllable shook the room.
