Chapter 5

I tried to dodge when one of the omegas threw water at me from inside the gate.

“Go away! Luna Liora ordered me to expel traitors like you!”

Luna Liora? They are all too confident. That will only happen in their dreams. Now an omega dares to treat me badly. But just you wait, the Silver Moon Pack will soon be destroyed! I swear I’ll make them all kneel!

I walked away from the Silver Moon Pack’s gate with faltering steps. Something was burning inside me-an unquenchable rage.

Before I had gone far, a faint sound began to echo in my ears.

Footsteps. Soft. Firm.

A tall figure in a black cloak emerged from behind the trees. His eyes glowed a deep red-the hallmark of an Ironshade pack guardian.

“Princess Helena.”

The voice was hoarse but full of respect.

I nodded weakly. “You came just in time, Thorne.”

Thorne, my father’s former elite captain, the wolf who had always been by my side since childhood until I grew up.

He approached quickly.

“You look badly injured.” His eyes widened with shock and concern. “What did they do to you?”

His wolf side emerged as he saw me in such a state. “Should I attack everyone who hurt you? Tell me who hurt you?”

“Calm down, Thorne,” I patted his shoulder. “We’ll destroy them anyway. And I’ll tell you later.”

In the end, Thorne listened to me. “We received your emergency midlink. I’m relieved you’ve returned to the Ironshade pack. Your father wants you brought home, but I know… you won’

agree.”

I stared straight ahead. “Not until the pack is destroyed. I’ll handle it myself. Without my father for now.”

I deliberately didn’t want to tell my father. If he intervened, the Silver Moon pack would be destroyed in an instant. What I wanted was a slower, more painful destruction. Especially for

Samuel.

Thorne helped support my body. “You don’t look well. You should be healed before destroying the pack-”

“I want to do it now.” I cut him off firmly. “My healing can wait. I just need some rest later to

recover.”

Thorne bowed obediently. “Alright, I understand. Then we’ll start the destruction from within. I know who we need to meet right now.”

I smiled crookedly. “That’s why I’m counting on you. Take me to that wolf. Now.”

Thorne hesitated before speaking again. “Are you sure you don’t want to fix your appearance

first?”

“What?” My voice was filled with irritation. “Why are you arguing? I don’t care about my messy appearance. My chest is filled with vengeance; I must destroy them immediately!”

“I understand completely, princess. But… the wolf we’re meeting is very special.”

I was furious hearing him speak. Usually, Thorne was very obedient. But even so, I let him continue speaking.

“He is Alpha Liam. The strongest in the east and… the mate you rejected in the past.”

My breath caught. Too shocked.

Liam. Now he’s the Alpha in the east. The mate chosen by my family and father. But I rejectec him and ran to Samuel. I couldn’t imagine his reaction when he found out I’d suddenly come asking for help.

‘If you don’t mind, we can leave now,” Thorne continued.

‘Thorne,” I said, my breath heavy. “Do we really have to involve him?”

Thorne nodded without hesitation. “Only he and his pack know the secrets of the entire pack. They have that ability. I think you want to destroy Samuel with a painful sense of shame, don’ you? Then we have to meet him.”

That’s right. I don’t want total destruction. I want the pain to be slow and cruel for them. Thorne ruly understood everything about me, even before I explained Samuel’s betrayal and the Silve Moon pack.

‘We’re leaving now,” I said confidently.

Thorne nodded. He called two soldiers to accompany us. Then he took me into Ironshade’s vehicle, heading toward Alpha Liam’s pack.

When I explained everything, Thorne seemed almost unable to control his anger toward the Silver Moon pack. Secretly, my heart warmed, remembering how foolish I had been to leave the Ironshade pack. To leave Thorne, who had remained loyal to me until now.

‘I promise I will do my duty well. As you requested, the Silver Moon pack will be destroyed before tomorrow’s Alpha coronation!” Thorne said, his anger still burning.

“You can always be relied upon.”

Our vehicle had already traveled far. We were almost at the Darkvenom. I suddenly tensed up, thinking of Liam.

For

years after leaving Ironshade, I was too focused on fixing the Silver Moon pack. Too focused on Samuel. Until I didn’t realize Liam had become Alpha. Especially the strongest in the east.

We grew up together as children. Then we parted ways as teenagers. As far as I remember, he was once a weak figure who even enjoyed crying. But it turns out… he’s changed now?

“Princess Helena, come down. We’ve arrived.”

Thorne’s voice snapped me out of my reverie. I straightened my back immediately.

“Do you need help getting down?”

7:30 pm

I shook my head. I went down alone. We arrived at the majestic Darkvenom pack. This was my

I shook my head. I went down alone. We arrived at the majestic Darkvenom pack. This was my

first time here. It was far better than the Silver Moon pack’s gate, of course.

“What is your business?” the guard asked.

“We’re from the Ironshade pack. I’m a warrior and wish to meet your Alpha,” Thorne said firmly.

The guard seemed more friendly after learning that the visitor was part of Ironshade.

“You are honored guests. But unfortunately, Alpha Liam has other business today.”

The gate then opened. A luxurious carriage was about to exit.

‘That’s Alpha Liam. He’s coming out,” the guard said.

Damn. I didn’t want my plan to fall apart.

But the carriage suddenly stopped near us. A muscular figure with a handsome face emergec ‘rom it. Alpha Liam. His aura felt dark and emanated strongly.

‘Perhaps I can cancel my plans to go out today.”

His heavy, cold voice sent shivers down my spine. I could barely move. I truly didn’t know how to

eact.
