Chapter 6
After saying that, Alpha Liam went inside. He told us all to follow him.
And here we are. In the living room. I sit upright, unable to hide my nervousness.
He had truly changed. His figure was almost unrecognizable. His face was very handsome but also held a power that made anyone who looked at him step back. His body was very upright, truly embodying the figure of a strong Alpha.
When our gazes met, I felt trapped. I couldn’t read anything there. Only a cold gaze that felt like it was freezing the entire room.
Fortunately, Thorne was skilled at reading the atmosphere. He spoke. “Alpha Liam, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Liam’s gaze shifted to Thorne. He merely nodded slightly.
“I need your help,” I said firmly, trying to hide my awkwardness.
Thorne looked surprised. He hadn’t expected me to speak first.
It didn’t take long for a smirk to appear on Alpha Liam’s face. For a few seconds, he remaine silent. And I couldn’t read his intentions.
‘Help?” His cold voice was tinged with amusement. His gaze appraised me from head to toe ‘An Ironshade princess?”
My breath caught. Of course, I was disturbed by everything he was doing. What did he mean by
that?
met his gaze without hesitation. “What’s the problem if an Ironshade princess asks for help from the Alpha of Darkvenom?”
Liam tilted his head, his gaze turning icy. “The problem is that she forgot she once refused ar arranged marriage with the Alpha of Darkvenom.”
My emotions boiled over. Mixed with shame. So he was here just to humiliate me. He remembered everything. Of course.
I stood up with clenched fists. Then I almost walked away, but Thorne held my hand.
He stood up too. And whispered softly, “Control your emotions, Princess. This is the only way to destroy Samuel and his pack slowly.”
I was still struggling to control my breathing. Suddenly, the memory of Samuel’s humiliation and the Silver Moon pack flooded back. I think Thorne is right. I shouldn’t give up this quickly.
“Can he really be trusted?” I whispered to Thorne.
But damn, Alpha Liam’s ears are too sharp. He heard. And his mocking laughter filled the room.
“Did you come here just to doubt me?”
Thorne tensed up immediately. He was afraid Alpha Liam would get really angry.
I signaled Thorne to sit back down. I did the same.
I tried to steady my voice. I even forced a smile that must have looked strange. “I have complete faith in this pack. And in you, of course, honorable Alpha Liam. That’s why I came here.”
But he seemed unsatisfied with my words. Liam showed no expression at all. Even though I had gone out of my way to humble myself before him.
“Alright,” I held my breath, looking at Thorne as a sign of surrender. “We’ll leave now!”
“Come to my room.”
I didn’t stand up. I blinked slowly, startled by his sudden words.
Thorne gave me a relieved smile.
Meanwhile, Alpha Liam rose from his seat and began walking away. I stared at his sturdy back, and Thorne quickly followed him from behind.
“Not you. But Princess Ironshade, Liam said coldly.
I stared. Thorne turned around and approached me. “I thought I’d explain. Turns out he wants you, Princess.”
I couldn’t think straight at the moment.
“Thorne, is this a bad sign? Maybe he just wants to humiliate me because of the grudge when I rejected him?”
“No.” Thorne shook his head. “I think Alpha Liam is wise enough. Just go to his room now and don’t forget to be nice. For our plan.”
I listened to Thorne for now. Then followed Liam to another room. Every step felt nerve-wracking
Seeing Liam’s attitude like that, I kept feeling awkward. He was pretty arrogant.
If it weren’t for the destruction of the Silver Moon pack, there’s no way I’d step foot in this place.
‘Hurry up and come in. What’s making you stop at the door?” His voice startled me.
Annoying. I hadn’t realized I was standing there.
Alpha Liam stood waiting for me. His body leaned slightly toward the large desk. His sharp gaze made it extremely difficult for me to move.
‘I don’t want to linger. I hope you’ll listen to me seriously. Without insults. Without past grudges.”
He remained silent after I said that. That made me even more annoyed because I couldn’t read
nis mind.
‘You really want to help me, right?”
Just a small nod. And his gaze remained sharp.
But I won’t be nervous this time.
“I can give your pack a little of Ironshade’s power. That would be very useful, wouldn’t it? So let’s just consider this a collaboration. Not me asking for help.”
“Yes, tell me what you want that made you go through the trouble of coming here, Helena.” There was something strange inside me when he said that name. Memories of the past when we were children, he finally called me by that name again. Now it feels half unfamiliar and half
familiar.
I quickly pushed those thoughts aside. There were more important things to think about.
“Samuel. My ex-mate betrayed me with my own best friend.”
Deep down, I felt ashamed to say this to Liam. How pathetic to leave him and go to Samuel, only

to face such sadness.
“Don’t be ashamed, Helena. You were indeed pathetic in choosing a mate. Admit it.”
Liam’s mocking voice nearly choked me. I never expected him to say it so openly.
I’m sure my face is red now. Between shame, frustration, and anger.
My fist clenches tightly. “So you really want to take revenge on me? You want to humiliate me by coming here? I won’t beg, I’ll leave!”
I turned around. This time, I took wide steps. But right in front of the door, he spun me around.
I looked up, our gazes meeting. Liam’s face was more striking up close. His gaze was different from before. This time… darker.
‘Do you think you can just leave like that?” His voice was hoarse, deep, and full of emphasis. ‘You can’t leave again. You came back here, which means you chose me.”
stammered. But I couldn’t avoid his gaze. Like I was trapped. “What… what do you mean? I jus

You want to destroy Samuel? Along with the Silver Moon pack?” he guessed precisely. “Let’s do t together.”
