Olivia’s unease grew increasingly apparent. She no longer deliberately slowed her pace but hurried toward the exit.
Everything today was terribly wrong. This was definitely not a proposal, and his “surprise” was most certainly not a pleasant one!
He must have discovered something!
Olivia’s heart raced with panic as she desperately ran toward the exit, surprised that no one tried to stop her.
Just when she thought she might escape, the locked, electrified gates loomed before her, transforming the mansion into a cold, inescapable prison.
She collapsed to the ground in despair, her eyes wide with disbelief.
“No, this can’t be happening. Let me out! I want to leave!”
“Don’t even think about it. You framed Jessica so many times–I will never let you go!” Maxwell’s deep voice materialized behind her like a nightmare.
She trembled with fear, nearly fainting from terror.
After a long while, Olivia finally found her voice, attempting to deflect: “Mr. Reed, I really haven’t done anything. I don’t understand what you’re talking about. Please let me go?”
Maxwell ignored her pleas, coldly throwing a stack of evidence in her face.
Every instance where she had framed Jessica was meticulously documented, including numerous details.
Olivia’s hands shook as she gripped the documents, her vision blurring.
How could this happen? How could he possibly investigate these things? Given his personality, he didn’t trust Jessica and would never actively investigate. What changed?
Had Jessica, still unwilling to give up, somehow revealed all this to him? That must be it!
Olivia’s face turned paper–white. She had made a critical error, losing to Jessica in this game, and there was nothing she could do
about it.
Everything was over for her now.
Maxwell ignored her reaction, coldly giving his bodyguards a signal.
“Take Olivia to the basement. Have several guards take shifts beating her. Just don’t kill her–stop only when I say so.”
“If she’s near death, call my private doctor to examine her. Keep her alive. Everything she owes Jessica, she’ll repay a hundredfold!”
With that, he walked away without hesitation, calling his assistant to track down Jessica’s whereabouts.
Watching his cold and merciless departure, Olivia fell into complete despair.
The bodyguards dragged her toward the basement. The hopelessness and pain Jessica had once experienced would now be hers to
bear.
She desperately broke free from the bodyguards‘ grip, falling to her knees as she sobbed and begged: “Mr. Reed, please spare me! I know I was wrong. I didn’t mean to harm her. I only did these things to be with you!”

You said you liked me, and I’ve always loved you! I was just too afraid to be with you, which is why I kept delaying and refusing. Besides. what girl wants to be a mistress?”
“I just loved you too much and wanted you all to myself. Please, I’m begging you, let me go? I really can’t handle this!”
Olivia used every ounce of strength in her body to lunge toward Maxwell, clutching his pant leg as she wailed with all her might.
The once beautiful, delicate girl now looked hardly different from a homeless vagrant.
But he felt no sympathy, only fury at being deceived.
His eyes were dark, roiling with dangerous anger as he mercilessly stepped on her hand, grinding down.
“Olivia Grant, from the moment you deceived me, you should have known this day would come. You lied to me and hurt Jessica. I will never love you again!”
“Your affection and possessiveness–I don’t need any of it!”
“Ahhh!” Olivia’s hand bones were nearly crushed beneath his foot.
She cried out in agony, tears streaming down her face.
“I know I was wrong! I truly understand my mistake now. Please spare me? Don’t do this to me. I’ll give you anything you want. I can
even apologize to Jessica. Please, just let me go!”
Olivia was genuinely terrified, sincerely uttering these words of supplication.
