She said, “When my leg was broken, no one treated me. They left me lying on the ground, screaming and writhing in pain, while a crowd gathered around to laugh at my misery.
“For three long months, my leg was left untreated. It healed on its own–if you can even call this healing.”
As Camila recounted her ordeal, Enoch and Abigail collapsed to the ground, their faces pale and their bodies trembling as if struck by lightning.
If Camila had received proper treatment, her leg wouldn’t have ended up in such a state. Even to the naked eye, it was clear that the broken bones had never been set properly. Instead, layers of new flesh had grown over the misaligned fragments. “Camila, we know we were wrong. We’re not asking for your forgiveness. We only hope you can give us a chance to make amends,” Abigail pleaded, her voice breaking as she bowed repeatedly. “Please, just give us one chance to atone for our sins.”
Even Enoch, a man who rarely showed his emotions, had reddened eyes.
Emily’s gaze fell on Camila’s scarred leg. Tears spilled down her cheeks as she broke into sobs. “Camila, this is all my fault. If it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t have ended up like this. I’m the one who should be begging for your forgiveness.”
Camila took a deep breath, pushing down the years of bitterness that threatened to overwhelm her.
She looked at Emily and said, “You’re a victim, too. I don’t blame you. I just want to know–what happened that day at Agnes’s graduation party? You were her best friend. Why would she hurt you?”
The mention of that day made Emily’s hands clench tightly. Her eyes burned with hatred for Agnes, yet her gaze toward Camila was filled with sympathy.
Suppressing the overwhelming anger threatening to spill out, Emily began recounting the events of five years ago–the day of Agnes’s graduation party.
As Emily spoke, even Enoch and Abigail, who had already learned the full truth from her before, couldn’t help but tremble with rage.
Meanwhile, Giovani, Lindsey, Keira, and Hazel, who had been completely unaware of the events of that day, listened with growing horror. When Emily finished, their fury was so intense that they felt an overwhelming urge to make Agnes and Arthur pay for their cruelty.

In doing so, his beloved daughter Agnes would no longer have to suffer from kidney failure, and Arthur himself would be celebrated as a philanthropist–a man who gave up his own child for the greater good, earning admiration and praise from all.
Once he secured the “philanthropist” label, Arthur’s career in Sancho would soar, and the Jackson Group shareholders would place even greater trust in him.
At that point, he could use the shareholders to pressure Belinda into transferring all her shares to him. Once things reached this stage, the entire Jackson Group would be under his control.
