Chapter 143 Belinda Discovers The Truth
‘What the hell? How is Emily here? Wasn’t she sent overseas by William?‘ Arthur thought.
His mind was in turmoil. He had it all planned–once the family was abroad, he’d get a gun and get rid of Emily for good, making sure she’d never cause trouble again.
But now, before he even had a chance to leave the country, there she Emily, standing in front of him, alive and well.
‘Didn’t that bastard William swear she would be locked up at the estate with no way out?‘ he wondered.
Arthur’s eyes darted around nervously. Then, when his gaze landed on Enoch and Abigail, it all clicked. It had to be them- they must have brought Emily back from overseas.
Right now, Enoch and Abigail were glaring at him with eyes full of hatred, their stares sharp enough to pierce through him. Arthur’s heart sank like a stone. He thought Emily must have told them everything. Cold sweat broke out on his forehead, and he couldn’t bring himself to meet their eyes. He quickly averted his gaze, avoiding their accusatory stares.
But when his eyes fell on Lindsey and Keira, the room seemed to spin, and he felt like his legs might give out. ‘What are these two old women doing here?‘ he wondered.
He remembered it clearly. On the day Emily woke up, these two had been by Camila’s side, helping her. At that time, he thought they were just a couple of ordinary old ladies. But now, it seemed things were far more complicated than he’d imagined.
The one standing there, dressed in a uniform similar to Hazel’s, was clearly a maid. Meanwhile, the elegantly dressed woman sitting on the sofa exuded an air of authority. She had to be Lindsey, Giovani’s grandmother.
Arthur felt his mind go numb, as if he’d been hit with a sledgehammer.
He had unknowingly offended Lindsey, the formidable lady of the Campbell family. If she remembered him, her interference would make it impossible to get Agnes released.
When his gaze finally landed on Camila and Giovani, a cold sweat drenched his back instantly.
He thought, ‘Camila, that sneaky brat, is here too–sitting next to Giovani as if she belongs here. How did this happen? Did she seduce him before I could marry her off? Yes, that must be it.‘
Arthur’s mind raced with contempt. He had always known Camila was nothing but a vain, gold–digging woman. Yet, his expression stiffened only briefly before he shamelessly pretended as if nothing had happened.
Putting on a forced smile, he said to her, “Camila, you’re finally back! Do you know how worried I’ve been all this time?”

It seemed today was the perfect day to reveal everything to him. She relished the thought of his world crumbling when he discovered that his precious daughter wasn’t even his own flesh and blood, and all his scheming had been for nothing.
Camila smirked faintly and said, “You? Worried about me? That’s new.”
“Of course! I’m your father,” Arthur shamelessly insisted.
The moment the word “father” left his lips, it drew sneers from everyone present.
Looking at him with disdain, Enoch sneered, “Harvesting your daughter’s organs for your illegitimate child? You dare call yourself a father?”
Abigail said coldly, “Ripping out her heart, liver, and other organs? You dare call yourself a father?”
Hazel added, “Donating her body for your own glory? You dare call yourself a father?”
One by one, they exposed Arthur’s monstrous deeds, their words cutting like knives.
Arthur felt like he’d been struck by a ton of bricks, his face drained of color. His eyes darted around the room in a panic, as if the world was falling apart around him.
He had always known that keeping Emily alive would lead to trouble. If he had known this would happen, he would have ended her life when she was still in a coma. Bu never acted fro ona patient would wake up one day.

“That’s nonsense. You’re all conspiring to frame me!” Arthur shouted, his voice trembling.
“Frame you?” Emily’s eyes widened, her pale face making her bulging eyes look even more terrifying. The look on her face was downright chilling.
She continued, “I overheard your conversation with Agnes. That’s why you pushed me down the stairs, hoping to kill me. But I survived.
“My survival disrupted your plans, so you pinned the attempted murder on Camila, forcing her to take the blame for you.”
Emily’s gaze shifted to Belinda, her eyes filled with biting sarcasm. “Mrs. Jackson, you truly are the perfect wife to Arthur and the ideal mother to Agnes. Camila could have been exonerated, but you deleted the surveillance footage that proved her innocence.
“You made it impossible for her to defend herself, sending her to prison for five years to suffer unspeakable torment.”
At that, Belinda felt as though she had been plunged into an icy abyss, her entire body trembling uncontrollably.
Learning that Arthur had abandoned Camila, caused her father’s death, kept a mistress, and even brought the mistress’s child for her to raise had already been a heavy blow. But the truth from five years ago was far more brutal than she could have imagined.
Arthur and Agnes, those heartless monsters, failed to kill Camila and instead framed her for attempted murder. Belinda had even helped that vile woman, Agnes, destroy the evidence and pushed Camila into hell with her own hands.
Belinda’s breathing grew increasingly labored, as though an invisible hand was tearing at her heart, spreading excruciating pain throughout her body. Her chest felt unbearably tight, and a metallic taste rose in her throat.
The crushing weight of the truth tore through her, leaving her utterly broken. A sudden gush of blood erupted from her lips, staining the floor as her body swayed unsteadily. Her remaining eye was filled with remorse as she looked at Camila.
She reached out her hand, trembling, as if she wanted to touch Camila’s face and convey the guilt buried deep within her heart. But her vision darkened, and her body collapsed to the floor.
Before losing consciousness, Belinda saw Camila sitting still on the sofa, her icy silence cutting through her heart like a
knife.
‘Camila doesn’t usually behave like this. It’s me who destroys her feelings with my own hands. Camila, I failed you. I’m sorry, Belinda thought, her heart heavy with regret. Then she closed her eyes in despair and fell unconscious.
At that, Camila didn’t even blink, leaving Belinda sprawled on the cold floor.
Right then, the living room door swung open, and Turner strode in, with Agnes, Ivanna, and William trailing behind him.
“Mr. Campbell, I’ve brought the people you wanted,” Turner announced.
Giovani nodded, a faint smile playing on his lips. “Everyone’s here. Let the show begin.”
