Chapter 18
Since escaping from Blake, Charlotte had settled in Austin.
When she first arrived, her former classmate and other team members came to welcome her at the airport. As they talked about their dreams, their eyes sparkled with light, reminding Charlotte of her own past. If not for Blake, she would have taken this step with them long ago.
They shared a meal together before diving straight into work. Starting a new studio required hands-on involvement with everything-finding a location, renovations, registration, hiring… The process of building from zero to one wasn’t easy, but Charlotte handled each task with dedication. She no longer had time to think about Blake.
After several busy months, the studio finally began to take shape.
Her classmate asked what name she wanted to use. Charlotte thought for a moment and wrote down “Olive Branch.”
She hoped that both her studio and her future life would be like the olive branch-a symbol of peace, growth, and bearing fruit that others would
admire.
Her classmate had no objections and congratulated her instead. This was the rebirth of her career, and her personal rebirth as well.
With just a small team, they ventured into the design world.
The beginning was indeed difficult-they couldn’t get projects, clients didn’t trust them, and during their most challenging period, they could barely afford basic meals. But this studio carried their dreams, and Charlotte would never give up.
Finally, they got an opportunity, created a satisfying project, and Olive Branch Studio began to flourish.
They leveraged this momentum to continue building their reputation.
Gradually, the name “Olive Branch” began spreading throughout Austin. Anyone involved in design circles knew about Olive Branch Studio’s capabilities, and their projects grew increasingly substantial.
To celebrate the successful completion of another million-dollar contract-cheers!” In the studio, Charlotte’s face beamed with joy as she raised her ¡lass.
Cheers! Charlotte, you’re incredibly talented!”
Yes, and Nathan too. We have so much to learn from both of you.”
You two are simply unstoppable!”
Everyone clinked their glasses together.
Among them, the mentioned man smiled modestly, turning his head to gaze at the woman beside him.
Not at all. Charlotte is the true talent. Without her, none of us would be here today.”
Embarrassed by the compliment, Charlotte was about to respond when she caught Nathan’s eye. His intense gaze, communicated more than words ever could. Charlotte froze, her cheeks flushing as she quickly looked away, casually addressing the others as if nothing had happened.
When she first founded the studio, it had been incredibly challenging. With too few staff and demanding clients, she often stayed up all night to maintain the studio’s reputation.
To ensure Charlotte could fully immerse herself in creative work, her classmate voluntarily moved to the background, managing the studio’s operations big and small. Despite this, they still lacked enough people with Charlotte’s level of talent.
Later, she accidentally discovered Nathan’s design work online and was instantly amazed. She immediately contacted him, wanting to recruit him for her studio. At that time, the studio’s income was barely enough for her own living expenses, but Charlotte firmly believed Nathan was a hidden gem and eagerly invited him to become her partner.
Coincidentally, Nathan had also heard of Charlotte’s reputation and accepted the invitation.
Chapter 18
As if arranged by fate, these two underappreciated talents collided and together created an impossible brilliance, gradually developing Olive Branch Studio into the renowned powerhouse it was today, with more orders than they could handle and industry wide recognition.
Charlotte couldn’t help but smile, her eyes filled with nothing but light.
