Chapter 26
Chapter 26
Elara’s POV:**
I placed the time capsule on a shelf in my new home’s study.
There was no need to throw it away or burn it.
The memories inside weren’t just about Rowan–my life wasn’t solely about him either.
My phone suddenly rang, Rowan’s name flashing on the screen.

Ha, sensing that our marriage was about to “reach its end,” so he was starting to have a “final rally“?
I neither answered nor hung up.
The call stopped after a while, followed by a text message.
I glanced over, expecting another of Rowan’s tantrums, but it was from Jack.
Had his Alpha finally given new instructions?
I opened it-
“Friday, I’m accompanying the Alpha to meet clients at Moonlight Elite Club. You might be able to deliver the suit there.”
My mind immediately filled with question marks.
Garrett Wylder still wanted to see me? And at… Moonlight Elite Club?!
That place was so secluded you could commit murder and no one would hear.
What… exactly did he want?
I didn’t dare speculate wildly.
It wasn’t that I was scared–this man was just too inscrutable. I just wanted to focus on my career, not get tangled up in any secretive, complex, unfathomable networks.
After thinking for a long time, I decided to follow his example–not respond yet.
**Third Person POV:**
In the garage downstairs, Jack sighed and put his phone back in his pocket.
Although the Alpha said “she doesn’t want to, no need to force it,” he could tell the Alpha wasn’t really planning to give up,

Having heard that Elara had actively sought employment, it was clearly just a misunderstanding between the two. So this time, he… took matters into his own hands.
Only by meeting face–to–face could they talk properly.
It’s just that Elara was truly stubborn…
The Bentley drove out of the manor, just crossing paths with an incoming Ferrari.
Rowan parked his car by the roadside, his gaze ice–cold as he stared ahead.
Chapter 26
Calls weren’t getting through, texts weren’t being answered–his fury was barely containable,
Moments later, the resident list for Orchid Court that he’d had someone investigate arrived on his phone.
What initially stunned him wasn’t Elara’s name, but–the manor’s owner was Garrett Wylder?
He had of course heard news of Garrett Wylder’s return to the country.
The Wylder family had always been low–key, but they were true nobility, with family members rarely appearing in public. Though he and Garrett Wylder moved in different circles, he had encountered him a few times at banquets when they were fifteen or sixteen.
Elara… had actually gone to see him?
And bought a house near his place.
Was this really a coincidence?
The figure from the golf course suddenly flashed through his mind…
**Elara’s POV:**
About two hours later, I drove out of Orchid Court, and just after turning the corner, I saw that familiar Ferrari that made my teeth ache.
My foot reflexively slammed on the brakes.
Rowan was leaning inside his car smoking, smoke drifting around his sharp brow bone, his expression frighteningly grim.
I quickly calmed down.
After rehearsing possible scenarios in a few seconds, I pulled over, actively got out of my car, and directly opened his passenger door to sit inside.
