Chapter 36
I interrupted him, my voice neither light nor heavy, just loud enough for everyone to hear clearly:
“Rowan, are you planning to…. have an affair?”
His face instantly darkened.
This statement caused an uproar throughout the venue.
“What did you say?!” Moira’s face flushed red.
“Are you really treating yourself as the luna?” I smiled lightly, “Then when you entered tonight, shouldn’t you kneel and call me sister first?”
“You–you’re dreaming!” She trembled with anger, “What right do you have to make me call you sister?! Have you no shame?”
I placed my wine glass on a waiter’s tray and pulled out a document from my small bag.
Opening it, I held it before her eyes.
“Now answer me, do I have the right?”
Moira froze completely, her face turning pale.
She stared at that Marriage Certificate, eyes unfocused-
It clearly stated:
Rowan & Elara officially bonded as mates.
The surroundings fell silent as death.
Even the guests‘ breathing could be heard.
I tilted my chin up, voice clear yet gentle: “Now tell me, does Rowan count as having an affair?”
Rowan was already mated to Elara!
This truth exploded in everyone’s minds like thunder, the entire banquet struck as if by lightning.
What they thought was a “mistress demanding compensation after a failed breakup” turned out to be the legal mate appearing at the banquet scene!
The Ashenford family had truly lost face completely this time.
“Marital infidelity, seducing a married man, and planning to publicly announce an engagement?”
“How utterly shameless!”
The Ashenford family’s faces turned white, then green, then purple.
The old Mrs. Ashenford was so angry she nearly fainted, gasping for breath.
Only now did she realize–her precious daughter wasn’t dating a desirable son–in–law, but someone else’s mate!
And during this time, she’d allowed Mrs. Mercer to spread word everywhere, even cooperating herself, appearing publicly everywhere, indirectly making the relationship public.
She glared furiously at Mrs. Mercer, How could you hide such important information? You’ve destroyed the Ashenford family!”
Mrs. Mercer was covered in cold sweat, explaining, appeasing, and apologizing incoherently, while pulling Moira and trying to stabilize the situation.

Chapter 361
And Rowan, holding his temple with one hand, closed his eyes, clearly having given up controlling this absurd situation.
I picked up the wine glass I hadn’t finished and walked toward him.
This man who’d accompanied me through eight years of youth, who’d entered marriage with me. Now, he stood under the spotlight with another woman, preparing for a high profile engagement.
I looked at him, raised the wine glass, and poured that glass of red wine-
Over his head.
The entire venue erupted.
Rowan suddenly gripped my wrist, eyes blazing with anger: “Are you only satisfied now?”
He gripped tightly, his palm pressing against the wound on my wrist. I shuddered in pain, vision darkening momentarily. But that was nothing compared to the pain in my heart.
I looked into his eyes, voice low: “Let’s dissolve the mate bond.”
I broke free from him, viciously smashing the wine glass at Moira’s feet, saying coldly: “I want no further connection with such scum.”
His expression suddenly wavered, as if finally realizing everything was irreparable.
He was about to say something when the wetness in his palm startled him.
Looking down–blood.
The wound on my wrist had reopened, deep red blood winding along my fingertips, dripping onto the white carpet.
The banquet hall fell into deathly silence.
Everyone was shocked by this horrifying scene.
Just then-
Moira suddenly rushed forward, violently pushing me to the ground!
“You whore! You didn’t die even after being used by so many mendast night, and you still come here to embarrass yourself? You should just die!”
