Chapter 51
I felt a wave of disgust but maintained my smile without comment.
With Garrett Wylder gone, no one could shield me from these men.
I grabbed a bottle of water and left the card room, almost laughing at Clay’s “excuse.”
I wasn’t stupid. At a time like this, having me “check on Alpha“-was I really supposed to go disturb their private moment?
Walking along, I felt a bit dizzy, so I went up to the third floor deck to get some fresh air.
Just as I turned toward the seating area, I looked up and unexpectedly saw-
Garrett Wylder and Amelia.
They appeared to be kissing.
His back was to me, Amelia on her tiptoes with her hands around his neck…
Oh my god-!
I was so shocked I choked on my water.
Suppressing my cough, I covered my mouth and ran.
Third Person Perspective:
Garrett Wylder was about to push Amelia away when he heard light footsteps on the carpet behind him–though muffled, they were particularly clear on the quiet deck.
He spun around sharply–nothing to be seen.
“Alpha…”
Amelia drunkenly cupped his face.
Garrett Wylder’s expression was cold as he pushed her away and onto the sofa: “Amelia, if you keep this up, I really will throw you overboard.”
He raised his hand, using the back of it to wipe his chin–where she’d almost kissed him.
“I know you gave me up because of Lucas… but is it my fault that he likes me? When you handed me over to him, did you ask what I wanted?”
She murmured softly.
Garrett Wylder sat down, his tone steady and cold: “I’ve explained this countless times. You can’t have everything you want.”
“I only want you.”
She looked at him like gazing at stars in the sky.
Garrett Wylder sighed, “You need a psychiatrist. You’re sick.”
Amelia’s tears broke free, “I am sick. From the day you said you didn’t like me against your true feelings, I’ve been… terminally ill.”
Elara’s Perspective:
When Garrett Wylder returned to the card room, I was already sitting back beside Clay,

rd originally wanted to avoid the situation elsewhere, but I wasn’t sure if my running away had been seen… If he came back and found ne mante wouldn’t he immediately guess what happened?
So–acting like nothing happened was the smartest choice.
“Alpha, you’re back.”
I also stood up, about to speak-
“You can stay seated.”
“…Huh?”
I was already halfway up.
“About Amelia, I’ll go keep her company…”
“She’s resting in her room, she doesn’t need you.”
His tone seemed displeased.
I sat back down confused, looking at Garrett Wylder with my head full of question marks.
…Had I… stepped on another landmine?
He glanced at the chips on the table, tone calm: “Clay had good luck.”
Before I could speak, a rich man nearby said with a grin: “The good luck is because of this beauty beside you. Alpha, where did you find such a beautiful and smart secretary? I’m envious.”
As he spoke, his eyes kept sticking to my chest… like he couldn’t wait to drag me away and strip me naked.
I felt disgusted.
Garrett Wylder’s face remained warmly polite, but his tone carried a chill: “You’d better rein in your gallant thoughts, or you might lose even your underwear.”
The air went instantly quiet.
The rich man immediately restrained his gaze.
Those around who’d had similar thoughts also backed down.
No woman, however beautiful, was worth offending Garrett.
I felt a warmth in my heart, though I wasn’t surprised.
Garrett Wylder–had always been a decent man with boundaries.
After a few more rounds, everyone was tired and the game broke up.
The yacht docked.
Olivia took the opportunity to ask Garrett Wylder for his contact information, but he only said to get it from Clay.
That was already an attitude.
Getting contact information wasn’t hard, but going through an assistant meant: just ordinary acquaintances.
Olivia looked somewhat disappointed, but quickly perked up, got the number from Clay, and smiled just as sweetly.
I thought she was quite lovely.
He’s on His Knees.
Chapter 51
There was nothing wrong with love–an unmarried man and woman, and she didn’t know about Garrett Wylder and Amelia’s history, so why couldn’t she be proactive?
