Chapter 125

70

vy’s POV

The room was dim, the air thick with a musty scent that clung to the damp walls. My wrists ached from the tight restraints, the rope digging into my skin, leaving behind raw, irritated flesh

My legs were stiff, my muscles screaming from hours, maybe days, of captivity. I had lost track of time in this miserable excuse for a prison

Then, the sound of approaching footsteps echoed down the hallway, steady and deliberate. My breath hitched. I knew who it was before she even stepped into the room

Taylor

She waltzed in, her expression smug, her eyes gleaming with amusement as she took in the sight of me, bound and helpless. She leaned against the doorframe, tilting her head

Well, well, she drawled. You look like hell”

I said nothing

She clicked her tongue, disappointed by my silence. Oh, come on, don’t tell me you’ve given up already. She stepped closer, her voice dropping to a whisper. Asher isn’t coming for you, sweetheart. He’s already mine.”

Still, I refused to speak

I wouldn’t give her the satisfaction

She huffed, rolling her eyes. Fine, be boring.”

Then, all of a sudden, I heard gunshots

I flinched, my body jerking instinctively as the sharp, deafening noise cut through the silence. My heart leaped into my throat

Taylor spun toward the door, eyes narrowing. What the hell?”

The guard beside her immediately straightened, reaching for his gun

Go check it out,she ordered, her voice sharp, laced with irritation

The guard hesitated for only a second before rushing out

The gunfire continued, louder now, closer. My pulse pounded in my ears, and as the chaos outside escalated, I strained to catch a glimpse of what was happening

Then I saw them

Through the small opening in the door, flashes of movement became clearer, and my breath caught

Asher

Luca

Marcus

They were here

Relief flooded through me so fast I almost felt dizzy

Chapter 125

Taylor saw my reaction and followed my gaze. Her entire body tensed as realization struck

No,she whispered under her breath

6215

I turned to her, my chest rising and falling with uneven breaths. Well, well, Taylor, looks like Asher’s here to crash your little party,I said with a wide grin on my face

Taylor’s expression twisted into something daik, pure frustration, pure rage. She clenched her fists, her nostrils flaring. Then she snapped

You little bitch!she shrieked, lunging at me

Her nails dug into my shoulders as she shook me, her grip strong.

Do you have any idea what you’ve ruined?!she screamed, her voice breaking with hysteria

I struggled against her grip, my own anger rising

I hate you!I shouted back, my voice raw, trembling. You stupid bitch! I hate you so much! I hate the day you came into my life!”

Taylor’s eyes burned with fury. She grabbed a handful of my hair, yanking my head back. Pain shot through my scalp, but I didn’t stop shouting back at her

The sounds of gunfire, of shouting, of bodies hitting the groundit all became background noise to the war between us

Then, her hand darted downward

I barely had time to register what was happening before a sharp, searing pain tore through my abdomen

My breath hitched

The world tilted

I looked down

A knife

Taylor’s hand was wrapped around the hilt of a blade, one she had stolen from the guard. It was buried deep in my stomach

My lips parted in a silent gasp

Taylor let out a breathless laugh. Oops,” she murmured

She pulled the blade out, and I felt the warmth of my own blood spreading, soaking through my clothes

My body swayed. My fingers twitched

Everything started to blur

My knees buckled, and a dizzying weakness washed over me. My body hung limp as the pain from the stab wound throbbed, my tied hands burning from the weight pulling at my wrists, the strength draining from me faster than I could process

I heard shouting, Asher’s voice, furious, panicked

But it was all fading

My body felt so heavy

The last thing I saw before the darkness swallowed me whole was Asher’s face, his eyes wide with terror as he reached for me
