“He’s got to be joking. Ten percent of the shares? That’s worth at least ten billion dollars! And he’s just giving it away like that?” 

“That’s Truman for you. He’s always doing the unexpected!” 

“Wait, that’s not the point! Did you hear what he said? He mentioned that he came here to ask one of the Sanders daughters to become his Luna, but he didn’t say whether it was Freya or Michelle!” 

“I don’t think he was talking about the younger daughter, Michelle. She’s just an Omega, and doesn’t she already have a fiancé? Her fiancé is the Alpha of the Midnight Pack, Benjamin!”

“Freya!” Alan shot her a sharp look, his eyes filled with disappointment and frustration. 

I knew what Alan was worried about. He was worried that agreeing to a new proposal right after her fiance’s death would make her seem like a heartless, unfeeling woman. He didn’t want her to become a target for gossip and judgment. 

But Freya didn’t give a damn. I let out a sneer.

I raised a brow slightly and smiled faintly. “I don’t mind. Maybe it’s not such a great thing after all. Freya, women who blindly chase after so–called true love usually don’t end up well.” 

“Michelle, that’s really petty of you. I know Benjamin’s Midnight Pack is in trouble right now. I understand you’re feeling upset, but that doesn’t mean you can take it out on me, right? 

“Anyway, Truman and I still hope to receive your blessing for our union.” Freya looked at me with condescending pride, already carrying herself like Truman’s Luna.
