Chapter 24 Gianna Goes Online, Paisley Apologizes
Gianna pointed at the camera.
Paisley felt a chill all over and calmed down instantly.
Can’t check the cameras, she was way too obvious just now, she was the one who tried to splash water on Gianna first.
Wouldn’t checking the security footage clearly show that she was the one at fault first?
Rodrigo looked at the woman in his arms, who was as sly as a fox. He knew she was just acting, but he was still willing to play along with her.
Okay, check the cameras.”
‘Don’t!” Paisley shouted anxiously.
Everyone looked at her. Paisley gritted her teeth hard, “It’s… it’s just a small thing, no need to check the cameras, Rodrigo, I’m fine now.”
Small thing?” Gianna blinked innocently. “Is it a small thing that I was wronged? Doesn’t Ms. Moyer need to apologize to me?”
I apologized to you?” Paisley raised her voice.
Or what?”
You wish.”
Alright then, let’s check the cameras.”
Gianna raised her thin eyebrows a little, not afraid at all.
…Sorry!”
Gianna deliberately put her hand to her ear, “Can’t hear you.”
‘aisley clenched her teeth and said, “Yeah! Sor! Ry! It was me! I blamed you for nothing!”
n one sentence, it was like Paisley used up all her strength.
Gianna was finally satisfied, “It’s okay, just be careful next time.”
‘aisley hated it so much.
Dead woman, cheap woman, just you wait.
Gianna smiled, left Rodrigo’s arms, and walked out of the kitchen.
Rodrigo glanced at the kettle and Paisley’s soaked clothes…
Everything was clear, but nothing was said, and he walked away.
After dinner, Gianna was about to leave.
Linda raised her chubby little hand and waved at her reluctantly, “Bye, Auntie.”
Gianna smiled and said, “Bye, Linda.”
Rodrigo was standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window making a call. When he saw how the two interacted, he narrowed his eyes a little.
He really wanted to know whether he was just overthinking things between Gianna and the kid, or if it was just like before and Gianna was just too good at acting
After Gianna left, Linda just curled up on the couch and started yawning lazily.
Linda had the habit of going to bed early and getting up early, and she was already feeling sleepy at this moment.
Linda walked over and tugged at Rodrigo’s sleeve.
“Uncle, Linda was sleepy.”
Rodrigo looked at the little girl rubbing her eyes and signaled to the servant next to him, “Take her to bed.”
The Salazar’s manor had a kids’ room. It was for the kids back then, but sadly, it always stayed empty.
Mya came over and took Linda to the room.
Linda liked to stay clean, and she always took a shower before bed.
Mya got her clothes ready for her and took her to the bathroom.
In the bathroom, Linda sat in the tub full of bubbles, letting Mya bathe her, and she even lifted her little neck to help.
heard Rodrigo let Linda stay in the kids’ room, so Laurel stormed in. She had set it up for her grandkids, so why should this little girl get to stay there.
When Linda saw Laurel outside, she called out crisply, “Grandma!”
One call of Grandma made Laurel stop in her tracks.
inda looked at her with those big, blinking eyes, and her eyes were full of sincerity.
aurel instinctively wanted to answer to that grandma.
But she stopped herself.
That wasn’t her little granddaughter.
Only her little grandson and granddaughter could call her grandma.
his little girl was really good at messing with people, she couldn’t let herself get fooled by her.
aurel stared at her for a few seconds, just ignored her, but didn’t say anything else.
ine, I’ll just stay in this room. It’s only one night, it’s no big deal.
aurel was about to leave like that, but when she turned around, she noticed a faint crescent-shaped birthmark on Linda’s shoulder.
he remembered where she had seen this birthmark.
aurel walked a few steps closer and looked carefully.
f she remembered right, Gianna seemed to have a birthmark of this shape too.
This little thing really had a connection with Gianna, even their birthmarks looked almost the same.
Laurel went out.
Rodrigo spoke in a low voice, “Mom.”
Laurel saw Rodrigo and asked, “Rodrigo, do you remember if Gianna had a birthmark on her shoulder?”
“Birthmark? What birthmark?”
Rodrigo frowned.
He hardly had any married life with Gianna back then, so of course he didn’t really look at her body. He had no idea if she had any birthmarks.
Laurel gave a slight tug at her lips.
He didn’t even know if his wife of eight years had a birthmark. Laurel was speechless and didn’t know what to say.
This was just way too careless…
Gianna left him, and he really did deserve it!
“Gianna seemed to have a crescent-shaped birthmark, that little girl had it too. I remembered Gianna said her mom had it as well, and it was pink, pretty unique.”
Rodrigo’s eyes narrowed, “You mean they had the same birthmark?”
It’s been seven or eight years. Laurel couldn’t be totally sure, “I think so, but I’m not sure. What’s wrong with you?”
Rodrigo’s face suddenly looked really off.
Showed up in several places at the same time, that mommy sound, the same birthmark…
Not doing this paternity test would’ve been letting down all these exposed doubts.
Rodrigo turned around and went out right away. Kade was still downstairs. Rodrigo told him, “Go contact the testing agency right now and get some doctors here to collect DNA samples.”
Kade held the phone, which was still on the call, and asked, “Sir, do you want a paternity test?”
“Yeah.”
Kade looked confused, “With… who?”
“Linda.”
“Yes, but sir, something happened at the company. I’m afraid you needed to handle it yourself.”
Rodrigo’s dark eyebrows moved. “What is it?”
