Around Amanda and Caleb, Ronan always pretended that he and Sylvia were a loving couple.
It was really hard for others to imagine how nasty and heartless he was in private!
Sylvia felt somewhat bitter.
Amanda was afraid that Sylvia would upset Ronan, so she quickly spoke up to smooth things over.
“Ronan, I’ve just criticized Syl. Please don’t blame her for not waiting for you. Syl, you gotta be more patient next time. Did you hear me?”
Sylvia felt a bit choked up, but she still forced a smile and said, “Got it, Mom.”
“Mom, it doesn’t matter. I actually find Syl’s short temper lovable.”
Hearing that, Amanda put the clothes she bought for him on the bed to show him.
“Come take a look. How do you like the clothes I picked for you?” she said so discreetly and silkily, just hoping that Sylvia could be better treated by Roman.
Sylvia pursed her lips slightly.
These clothes were just trash to Ronan.
Normally, Ronan wouldn’t even take a glance at this kind of clothes, let alone wear them.
Sylvia believed that Amanda’s kindness would be deserted by Ronan just as he had done to her before.
So, she meant to interrupt Amanda.
“Mom…”
But unexpectedly, Ronan raised his eyebrows and picked up the clothes.
There wasn’t even a hint of disdain in Ronan’s clothes. Instead, he said in a soft voice, “These clothes all suit me well. Thank you. I’ll go try them
on in the bathroom.”
“Syl, come here. Help me change clothes.”
Leaning against the door of the bathroom, he raised his eyebrows at her, with the flirtatious and teasing expression eyes that could only exist
between lovers.
Sylvia frowned slightly and wanted to refuse him, but after glancing at Amanda, she said nothing and slowly moved over.
In a small bathroom, Sylvia leaned against the wall with her arms crossed, watching Ronan take off his coat.
“What on earth are you up to?”
He was in good shape, strong and muscular.
Sylvia had been obsessed with his body before, but now she just looked away, as if uninterested.
Ronan didn’t care about her attitude.”Come here. I can’t undo the buttons on my shirt.”
Sylvia frowned.”Can’t you dress yourself?”
Ronan took a glance outside.
The two of them fell into a standoff. In the end, Sylvia gave in.
Her fair and slender fingers gently landed on the delicate button of Ronan’s shirt, and soon it was undone.
Sylvia tried to keep her distance from him, but as he was a lot stronger than her, she seemed to be shrouded in the shadow under the light.
She drifted off for a moment and accidentally scratched his neck with her nails.
“Whoa. Be careful.”
Somehow, Ronan’s voice seemed to be husky.
Sylvia’s fingers trembled.”Sorry.”
Ronan looked down at her, only to see her long eyelashes fluttering. There was a flick of desire flashing across his eyes.
“Did you do that on purpose?”

Sylvia didn’t understand what he meant. She looked up at him and couldn’t help being spellbound by his eyes.
Her heart skipped a beat.
Even at this point, her heart was flipped.
She quickly unbuttoned his last button and then opened the door behind her, saying, “Deal with the rest yourself.”
Without waiting for his answer, Sylvia fled in a hurry.
Unexpectedly, she met Amanda’s teasing eyes.
Sylvia didn’t know what to say, so she could only remain silent.
Soon, Ronan walked out of the bathroom.
He looked good in any clothes, let alone a decent suit
Amanda was quite satisfied with how he looked in the new clothes.
Having chatted with Amanda for a while, Sylvia couldn’t stand acting lovey-dovey with Ronan anymore. She said she had something to do and then just left.
Getting out of the hospital, Sylvia breathed a sigh of relief.
She glanced at Ronan beside her and distanced herself from him quietly.
Ronan said in a stern voice, “Just let me know in advance if you wanna visit your mom again.”
In his eyes, Sylvia’s mother was also his. He felt it was reasonable to visit her mother together.
Ronan felt that he had made it clear enough. He believed that they could get along as long as she behaved well.
Sylvia found his words so preposterous and thought, “Has he ever taken seriously any word I said before?”
