After the acquisition contract was signed, there was usually a small meeting to be held. During the break, I went to the
restroom.
Blake flashed in just as I was about to leave the restroom.
In the cramped space, he cornered me and asked with red eyes, “Why?”
“What?” I asked Blake back.
There were too many grievances between us, and if he didn’t clarify, I really wouldn’t know what he was asking about.
Blake’s eyes were redder than before. He lowered his head and said to me, “Scarlett, if you wanted to take revenge on me, you should have had enough by now, right? For these three months, you ignored me, didn’t see me, I thought I had already suffered enough of your punishment. Why did you have to acquire The Sterling Group? Don’t you know how important The Sterling Group is to me?”
“Scarlett, your family has been through bankruptcy too, you should be able to understand my feelings. What you’re doing is equivalent to destroying The Sterling Family!”
Blake’s tone was urgent. I looked at him in front of me and found it laughable.
“Did your family think about my feelings when they destroyed my family?”
“What?” Blake stood there dumbfounded, but I was tired of explaining to him.
“Blake, the company acquisition is normal business competition. I didn’t do anything underhanded.”
“As for our relationship, from the moment you sent ‘Swan Song‘ to me, we were over.”
Blake was stunned, “What ‘Swan Song‘? When did I send you ‘Swan Song“?”
I frowned impatiently, “Blake, is playing dumb fun?”
“On our tenth anniversary, wasn’t it you who had someone bid for ‘Swan Song‘ at Stardust Legacy and send it to me?”
“A hundred billion dollars, Blake, your breakup gift was generous enough. I accepted it, so please stop pestering me, okay?”
“After all, you’re even engaged now.”
As I said the last sentence, I looked at Emma who had walked over with a mocking expression, then turned and quickly left the restroom. I could hear intense arguing behind me, but I no longer cared.
Blake jumped from a building a week later. Before he died, he sent me a long text message.
He said, “Scarlett, I’m sorry, I didn’t know the tenth–anniversary gift Emma sent you was ‘Swan Song‘. I thought it was something else.”
“Scarlett, I’m sorry, I never intended to break up with you. The engagement with Emma was just to make you jealous.”

I felt nothing in my heart.
I never blamed Blake for my family’s matter. We were both too young then, both outsiders who couldn’t control our own fates.
But ‘Swan Song‘… I will never forgive Blake for that.
Never.
If Blake hadn’t told Emma about our agreement, she wouldn’t have been able to take advantage of it even if she wanted to.
Telling a secret between two people to a third person is itself a form of hurt.
I turned off my phone. Suddenly, the bracelet Blake gave me broke. At that moment, I had a bad premonition and ran desperately to the place where Blake and I first met.
The ground floor was already full of people trying to persuade him, but Blake stood on the top floor, looking up at the sky.

message.
“Scarlett, I know I’ve wronged you with what happened back then. I only ask one thing of you, can you take care of Blake for
me?”
It was hard for me to agree, but also hard to refuse.
Until Emma came to the hospital to visit Blake. Looking at Blake lying in bed with tubes all over his body, s
