“Samuel, where is the person who was sent here yesterday? Why isn’t she receiving clients?”
The manager stammered, unable to explain what was going on.
I marched in with my people, and Samuel deliberately led me to a delicate room.
I waved my hand and the sounds around me ceased, only to be followed by sounds coming from the unclosed room intermittently.
“Chad, thank you for coming. I don’t know what I would do without you.”
The woman’s weak crying could be heard.
Chad gently embraced Yvonne. “I’ll never let anyone bully you. Grace went too far this time. I’ll make sure to teach her a lesson when I get back.”
With a look from me, Andrew kicked the door open. “Who are you planning to teach a lesson to?”
The people inside were startled, and the two who had been hugging quickly pulled apart.
Yvonne glared at me with hatred from behind Chad.
When I spoke, the others began to chatter.
“Oh dear, did I hear that right? The bodyguard wants to teach the young miss a lesson, all because of a chauffeur’s daughter?”
“How dare this damned couple date sneakily here!”
“Ms. Parrish really doesn’t know how to manage her subordinates. Even her slave is bold enough to teach his master a lesson.”
“I think this maid is the real tough one here.”
The bodyguards behind me were fuming, ready to take action. Andrew was even feeling disappointed and frustrated.
“Chad, Ms. Parrish has treated you the best. How could you betray her like this? Apologize to her now!”
George was also furious. “Chad Parrish, who do you think you are? You’ve been relying on Ms. Parrish’s kindness, but now you’re taking advantage of her. Don’t forget that it was the master who saved you. Is this how you repay his kindness?”

I never let Chad do anything dangerous. Wherever he went, I made sure he had the best food, clothes, accommoda- tions, and transport.
People who don’t know him would think he was some young master from a powerful family.
What had Chad promised me? He said he would guard me with his life and never let down my father’s wishes.
But at this moment, the person I cared about so much was pointing at my face and calling me ruthless, saying I was worse than Yvonne.
Why would I want to be like Yvonne?
My position and abilities were outstanding even in high society.
I had enough capital to do as I pleased.
Forget it, Chad just didn’t deserve my attention.
