Rhea the head maid presented herself with a domineering stance. The gamma acted more like the Luna than the Luna herself. Everyone in the mansion obeyed her instead of me.
She was older than me by a few years, with short black hair and gray eyes. While she kept the refined and confident smile of a noble, she was far from it. Her words were full of venom all the time, and so were the looks she would give me.
“No funeral, unfortunately, I deadpanned. “Though I could always arrange one for you.”
“You really did change a lot.” Rhea glared at me derisively. They said you lost your memories, but have responsibility for making this mess by acting decently before a guest at least,”

If it came down to it, I would be more than willing to hand over my position as Luna. But that was a matter for another day.
For now, I had a visitor to attend to. Sighing, I turned to Jaiden and found him quietly eyeing the maids. The women did not notice him observing them, though, it seemed.
“That said, I believe I must join you for tea. Mr. Ashwood,” the head maid announced. “As this is an investigation, I cannot allow Ms. Redstone to speak unsupervised in her current condition.”
Jaiden’s expression tightened, 1 supposed he found it strange that I was being addressed with my maiden name; honestly, I did not mind. Rhea’s stand was more than clear

Rhea raised the rim of her teacup to her lips. She then gave me a pointed stare as she took a long slurp
“See?” Rhea hissed. “Drinking that so–called sugar monstrosity and not killing annoyances.
“The fact that you’re drinking it means you’re using it as a substitute.” I retorted. “Well, let’s hope you won’t be on the news for murder

Rhea wanted to refute the statement and profess her offense at the words. But it didn’t come out as she staggered at the sight before her. I had started knocking myself out with a cup of strong, pure black tea

Rhea watched incredulously as I picked up another cup, there was a second cup, of course, She’s probably thinking that, just as she was compensating for her overly sweet tea, the same applied to me with my overly bitter one–I would make a better murderess than she’d ever be. I gazed back at Rhea mirthfully, a sly grin spreading on my lips.
Then, I raised the cup in Rhea’s direction as if having a toast. The sudden clicking sound of porcelain made her jolt in surprise, and the I cheered, “Long live Ms. Emma, and her number one fan, Ms. Rhea-! That was when Rhea realized I was messing with her.
“Rather than playing around.” she hissed through gritted teeth. “You should prepare the tea for our guest.”

While it’s true that a gamma ranked higher than an omega in most circumstances, I was still the pack’s Luna, whether we both liked it or not. This was a whole ‘nother level of disrespect, and by having me put in the effort, the head maid would make it appear like it was her
work.

Rhea choked out loud after taking a sip at the new tea I prepared. Her eyes bulged wide in horror as she realized it was the same blend I drank, it was super strong and bitter. I made sure to put in an extra more too
