Chapter 1
I jolted awake to find myself staring at the swimming complex.
I was reborn!
In my previous life. en the eve of the Olympic swimming competition, my boyfriend’s childhood friend had prepared a cup of cold medicine for him.
I stopped her just in time. I explained that cold medicine contains stimulants, and as a competitive swimmer, if Ryan tested positive for drugs, he would face a lifetime ban from competition.
Isla thought I was bluffing and shot back defiantly, “You’re just jealous of my relationship with Ryan! If he performs poorly because of his cold, I’ll never forgive you!”
I tried desperately to stop her. In the end, I had no choice but to smash the cup. When Ryan found out, he slapped me without a word of explanation
I was so furious I could barely breathe.
After the competition, Ryan’s fever wouldn’t break. Isla immediately started a livestream, directing her followers to unleash a wave of cyberbullying against me. She doctored and released videos of my training sessions, painting me as a “vicious, malicious coach” in the eyes of the internet.
I couldn’t prove my innocence. My boyfriend’s obsessed fans poisoned my water, and–I died from the toxins.
As my breath grew weak and I was about to die, Isla–with my boyfriend’s full support–delivered a vicious kick to my body.
“Emma, if you hadn’t been getting in the way this whole time, Ryan and I could have been together openly ages ago.”
While I stood there, still trying to process what was happening, Isla raised her voice and glared at me furiously. “You’re just jealous of my good relationship with Ryan! Are you trying to sabotage him so he can’t win the competition?”
The athletes in the swimming complex all turned to look. Right on cue, Islà squeezed out some tears.
“Emma, what gives you the right to say that about me?”
The male team members rushed forward to shield Isla, their eyes filled with disgust as they stared at me.
“Coach Emma, it’s one thing for you to be tough on us, but why do you have to pick on Isla? She’s just a fragile girl!”
His words snapped me back to reality. I noticed the hateful stares from the other three athletes around us.
In my previous life, I had been their swimming coach for ten whole years. I worked tirelessly, sacrificing countless hours of my personal time to plan and guide their training, pouring everything I had into their success.
I led them from local competitions all the way to state championships, then to national events. Now they stood on the international stage, competing for Olympic medals!
Yet my ten years of dedication couldn’t compete with Isla’s two months of friendship with them.
They had cast me as the villain, secretly plotting to get Isla and my boyfriend Ryan together.
Ryan rushed over when he heard the commotion. His expression was cold, his tone even icier.
“Emma, what the hell is wrong with you now?”
“I’ve told you a thousand times–there’s nothing between Isla and me. Why won’t you believe me? Do you have to make things difficult for her at e
turn?”
Looking at Ryan’s almost cruel expression, my fingertips turned white from clenching my fists. After a long pause, I managed to speak with difficulty, “Do you know she was planning to put cold medicine in your water?”
Ryan froze for a moment. Isla’s face was perfectly streaked with tears, her soft body trembling as she pressed closer into Ryan’s embrace.

Chapter 1
“I was only worried about Ryan. I asked a doctor about these medicines athletes can take them too.
Ryan held her tenderly, shooting me a cold glare.
“How could Isla possibly want to hurt me? Do you think everyone’s like you? Always assuming the worst about people!*
With that, he picked up the cup laced with cold medicine and drained it without hesitation.
I watched him expressionlessly. This time, I wouldn’t interfere. I wanted to witness his lifetime ban with my own eyes!
