A sudden pain flared from the phone in Zina’s hand. Her brows snapped together, eyes turning ice–cold as she lifted her gaze, pinning the woman before her with a piercing stare.
The woman flinched but forced herself to act tough, snarling at Zina, “What the hell are you staring at? Take a good look at what kind of trash you are.”
After finishing her tirade, the woman tried to dart into the elevator. But just as she was about to slip inside. Zina grabbed a fistful of her hair and yanked her back with surprising force.
She shrieked in pain as her scalp burned from the pull, stumbling backward and nearly toppling to the ground. “Let go. You bitch. Whore. What the hell are you doing?” she cried out.
The woman thrashed wildly in Zina’s grip, her face contorted in agony.
The agonizing pull on her scalp had barely eased when the woman looked up, only to meet a pair of bone–chilling, sinister
eyes.
Those were eyes unlike any she’d ever seen–predatory and merciless, as if they could tear her limb from limb in the next heartbeat.
The woman stammered, trying to sound tough, “Wh–what do you think you’re doing? There are so many people here. I–I’m not afraid of you.”
Her voice was shaky, but she stubbornly kept up a tough–as–nails act.
Zina couldn’t bear to watch the woman’s pathetic charade any longer–a mocking laugh escaped her.
“You’re quite the character, aren’t you?” Zina sneered. “Still shaking? Afraid of me? I’m just giving you a taste of your own medicine. What’s wrong? Don’t like it when it’s done to you?”
The woman watched helplessly as Zina closed in, forcing her to retreat step by step.
But after just a few steps, the woman’s back slammed hard against a wall. The elevator doors had already shut tight behind her–no one was coming to her rescue now,
The woman could only watch helplessly as Zina’s fist came flying toward her, letting out a piercing scream
In that fleeting moment, Zina caught a whiff of a pungent, acrid odor in the air, and her brows furrowed instantly.
Upon realizing she had wet herself, the woman’s legs gave way, and she collapsed to the floor in shame. She burst into tears, sobbing, “You bitch.”
“Here, Zina sighed and tossed her jacket to the woman.
At that moment, the elevator doors slid open, and Zina strode in without a backward glance.
The woman stared in shock as the jacket fluttered down. She hastily pulled it on, but when she frantically looked around, Zina had already vanished without a trace.
Something churned in her chest as her gaze dropped. The woman’s cheeks burned crimson, as if set aflame by shame.

Meanwhile, while the woman downstairs was still reeling from their encounter, Zina had already reached the 9th floor.
It was the floor Andy had given her.
As the elevator doors slid open, Zina immediately spotted Andy and Wade waiting right outside for her.
“What took you so long? We’ve both been waiting here for ages,” Wade hurried over and said, his face etched with concern.
After carefully checking Zina and confirming he was unharmed, Wade finally let out a relieved sigh.
Zina shook her head. “Got held up downstairs. Lucky you two took the earlier elevator–when it was finally my turn. I ran into some psycho.”
Zina quickly glossed over what had just happened, intending to change the subject. But before she could, Andy suddenly cur in. “The live–streamers are probably on the 14th floor.
“Coincidentally, I know their boss. If it’s Charlotte Green, I can put in a word for you with her.”
“No point wasting time on people like that,” Zina said dismissively. She shrugged it off. “Anyway, let’s talk about our next steps.
