Seeing that Zina indeed had no intention of leaving, Andy finally revealed a satisfied smile and gave a slight nod. “Miss Sinclair, it’s my good fortune that you understand my sincere intentions,” he said. “When the opportunity arises, I’ll certainly return the favor.”
“You flatter me, Mr. Wood.” Zina was truly done pretending with Andy. With a faint smile, she turned her gaze to Wade.
“Mr. Sylvan, do you happen to have any neurology case files on hand? Let me take a look. Perhaps there might be other ways to help Mr. Wood’s man recover his memory faster,” said Zina.
Wade’s eyes lit up. “Oh, now that you mention it, I actually do have some.”
Eagerly, Wade hurried over, his face alight with excitement as he began introducing the treasured collection of case studies. he had meticulously compiled over the years to Zina
While reviewing the case files, Zina was stealthily observing Andy’s every subtle movement.
But Andy didn’t seem to care what Zina said to Wade or what she did–just keeping an eye on her seemed to be all that mattered to him.
“So is Kevin and Andy’s whole scheme just to stop me from returning to Jorvellan?‘ she wondered.
Using this excuse to stall won’t last long! Zina thought. “So what exactly are Kevin and Andy planning to do in this limited.
window of time?”
Zina was once again caught in a whirlpool of confusion.
Just as Zina was about to take the information from Wade, Andy suddenly strode over, his expression cold and stern.
“Doctor, one of my people had an accident. I’ve already had him brought to the office–he should be here shortly. Would you mind taking a look at him?” he said.
“Alright.” Zina nodded, then abruptly changed tack. “Mr. Wood, was there any particular reason you brought us to your office today?”
At this, Andy gave a slight nod. “Miss Sinclair, I heard you came from a well–off family and were groomed as an heiress, though you later left your original family for personal reasons.
“I have some projects here. If you’re interested, I’d be happy to help you get back on your feet.”
“Alright, I’ll take a look at them later, Zina replied.
Zina smiled with innocence, naturally choosing to let Andy’s inconsistent remarks slide.
Moments later, the driver was escorted into the office. When he saw Zina, he visibly froze for an instant.
After a few seconds, the confusion in the driver’s eyes faded a little. He looked up at Zina, hesitated, then finally spoke up. “Doctor, have we met somewhere before? I don’t mean anything by it–it’s just you seem really familiar to me.”
At this, the driver paused, then added, “It’s like we’ve met somewhere before, but I just can’t quite place it.”

The driver still wore an apologetic smile, but Zina knew all too well. “Someone’s watching my every move, ready to react if I disrupt the uneasy calm in the office.”
Zina offered a slight smile. “I don’t believe we’ve met before,” she said. Try to relax now. Let me help ease your mind, and you should then be able to access some memories.”
Even as she spoke, Zina sprang into action. Before the driver could react, she had somehow produced a pocket watch from nowhere
“You know hypnosis techniques?” Wade’s eyes widened in astonishment as he said, his gaze fixed on Zina, practically sparkling with amazement.
Zina nodded, turning her gaze to the driver. “Alright, take a seat,” she said.
The driver glanced anxiously at Andy, his lips parting as if he wanted to say something, but in the end, no words came out.
Andy subtly shook his head, and the driver clamped his mouth shut.
