Chapter 117
Back at the hotel, Zina didn’t head straight to her room. Instead, she prowled the public areas on the lower floors, her sharp eyes quietly taking in her surroundings.
A few minutes later, a car pulled up in front of the hotel.
The car door opened, and Andy stepped out, his voice preceding him.
As Andy reached the hotel entrance, he suddenly stopped in his tracks.
He pulled his phone from his pocket, murmuring quietly into it.
Zina’s brow furrowed as she crept closer, finally stopping just short of being spotted.”
From her hiding spot, Zina could overhear everything Andy was saying.
He began, “Mr. Sinclair, come on now. I helped you take care of all those people back then–left no loose ends. You should at least give me some credit.
“Mr. Sinclair, we’re tied together in this. I’ve been keeping your troublesome eldest daughter occupied for you, so you’d better hold up your end of the deal.”
He added, “Mr. Sinclair, rest assured. With your word backing me, I’ll get your orders done–even if it means getting blood on my hands
With a satisfied chuckle, Andy ended the call and hurried into the hotel.
Zina didn’t follow immediately. She remained where she was, mentally counting down the seconds..
Three, two, one- she wondered.
Just as Zina’s mental countdown reached zero, her phone suddenly vibrated with an incoming call–Andy’s name flashing
on the screen.
Zina’s lips curled into a faint smirk, a knowing glint in her eyes.
“Mr. Wood, what brings you to call at this hour?” she asked. Zina’s voice was measured, unhurried, and deliberately calm. which finally allowed Andy’s tense nerves to ease a little.
“Miss Sinclair, I just stopped by the hotel and didn’t find you in your suite. Did you step out for a bit?” Andy said.
“Oh, just woke up and felt like stretching my legs. What’s up?” Zina feigned a groggy tone, as if she’d just rolled out of bed.
As expected, Andy let out a sigh of relief, his voice noticeably more relaxed now.
out
He said, “It’s nothing, really. I just wanted to see if you were still here–I thought maybe you’d gone out on your own for something. If you’re not busy, you should come back soon. We’ve got other things to do this morning.”
“Alright, I’m on my way up now,” Zina readily agreed, but as her gaze met Andy’s again, a new sharpness flickered in her eyes
-wary and calculating.

Andy narrowed his beady eyes and craned his neck forward, a sleazy leer on his face. His gaze locked onto Zina, and for a fleeting moment, stunned admiration flashed across his eyes–only to be quickly replaced by a faint sigh of regret.
Andy thought to himself, “What a shame. She had everything going for her, only to end up offending that petty bastard.

After quietly sizing her up, Andy suddenly snapped back to attention, hurriedly composing his expression before speaking. “Ah, Miss Sinclair, you’re here–just in time.
“We were about to come looking for you. Would you be available to visit the hospital with me today? Some urgent matters have come up that require your attention.”
“Alright,” Zina replied with a calm nod and followed Andy out.
