Chapter 126
Kellan snapped, “Kyle, watch your damn mouth.”
For the first time ever, Kellan lost his temper–and it had to be at a moment like this.
A flicker of astonishment flashed through Kyle’s eyes. As his peripheral vision caught Zina sitting nearby, he instantly snapped back to that familiar nonchalant demeanor, now subtly tinged with smugness.
“Kellan, come on, no need to get so worked up, Kyle said with a dismissive smirk. I’m not the one trying to link you with this woman.
“She’s just so shameless. When she saw I wasn’t interested, she immediately started clinging to you. Honestly, you should just have security toss her out-
Kellan’s voice dropped dangerously low. “What? Are you deaf to what I just said?”
Kellan arched a brow and slammed his palm on the table with such force that Kyle instantly turned ghostly pale.
“Kellan, what are you doing? We’re family. And you’re really taking sides with her?” Kyle stammered.
“What are you doing here at the company? Do you really think I’m in the dark? Even an outsider would have more loyalty than a heartless ingrate like you,” Kellan scoffed. He spoke mercilessly, his words dripping with scorn.
Kyle’s face flushed crimson with rage. “Y–you–he stammered, too furious to speak.
Kellan sneered, “What? I’m in charge of the Carter Corporation now. You had years to make something of yourself, and you’re still utterly useless.
“I barely stepped back in, and everyone in the company is already following my lead. Honestly, I should’ve known you were
a lost cause.
Kellan spoke, then slowly shook his head in mock distress.
Kyle’s face flushed crimson with rage, too furious to speak–yet his eyes burned with pure hatred.
“Got a problem? Spit it out. Hiding it just proves how pathetic you are. Honestly, you’re absolute trash. You don’t actually think that hatred in your eyes goes unnoticed, do you?” Kellan continued.
With his petty schemes exposed, Kyle’s face burned crimson, so red it seemed ready to bleed. He could only bite his lip. utterly speechless.
“Go home and play in the sandbox. Honestly, you’re too stupid to belong here.” Kellan waved him off, the mockery in his eyes plain for all to see.
For a split second, Kyle desperately wanted to storm out. But then, the purpose of his visit flashed through his mind, and he abruptly froze in his tracks.
He began, “Listen, I’m here for serious business today. Even if you’re running the show now, I’m still a Carter by blood, and I’m entitled to my rightful share of this company. So just appoint me as President, and I’ll—‘
Kellan burst out laughing. “President? You?”

Chapter 126
Kyle barely got the words out before Kellan was already laughing in his face.
Seeing Kyle gnashing his teeth in rage, Kellan–who had barely managed to contain his laughter–burst out laughing again, unable to hold it back any longer.
This time, even Zina, who had been trying to stay invisible in the background, couldn’t help but burst out laughing along with the others.
The room erupted in laughter. Everyone looked completely at ease–everyone except Kyle, who stood apart, not sharing in the mirth.
“A–All of you.” Kyle sputtered, his face burning with humiliation.
“Are those the only words you know?” Kellan scoffed. “You’re making me wonder if the Carter family even bothers to educate its younger generation–unless, of course, our family’s gene pool is somehow defective.”
Kellan’s voice remained calm, yet every word dripped with finality.
Kyle was left speechless with rage; all he could do was glare venomously at Kellan.
Surrounded by Kellan’s men, Kyle didn’t dare push his luck. All he could do was spit out threats through gritted teeth.
“I’m warning you. If you keep acting so high–handed. I’ll go straight to Grandpa. I refuse to believe there’s no one in the Carter family who can rein you in,” said Kyle.
“Just go already. Get out of my sight,” he snapped. Kellan waved him off impatiently, his face a mask of utter disdain.
